But I have heard that in the bhakti movement a person can express his feelings towards God in different ways, not only those which can be found in the scriptures. Could you say whether a person himself can come up with a method of bhakti yoga if this method helps him fight egoism, or at least does not develop egoism in him? For example, is it possible to practice bhakti yoga by helping the poor, as Vivekananda taught? Or, for example, can a person print the phrase “let’s not be greedy” on his T-shirt and walk around the streets wearing it? Can a police officer successfully solve a serious crime and dedicate this success to God? And what interests me most is, do you think that such a thought about freedom of expression in bhakti yoga can be found in the scriptures?
