It's ironic that you talk about being able to grow in the game to become a boss monster as a selling point of the game, then the next thing you talk about is the title screen needs a redesign because the sizes are "all wrong."
@@MatthewCenance For the most part, Dobbins and Maya are wrong. Maya should be bigger than Dobbins. Toasty being big only makes sense because he's using Gordo Grande power.
The funny thing is that I was thinking about how Drimogemarcus would have responded to the king. You got him pretty nicely, though my idea was more dramatic... less appeasing and lengthy but more triggered. I woul detail more, but once again I would like to write Marcus' dialogue myself, if you allow. I did not reply earlier because I am having less time fro my main computer lately.
@@baalfgames5318 Nah; you did not botch this. If you kep this dialogue, this would have been acceptable. In fact, Marcus' revised ialogue was great during the confrontation. I wanted to write my own character because I would find this fun and wanted to aid you. In fact, I am sorry that I ndirectly (albeit unintentionally) insulted you and id not respond in a timely matter. You are doing a great job, especially with juggling that many characters.
I am not sure how much meta is necessary. After all, are the humans literally from other games, or are they from the same world/ universe th Earthquake Warriors are? Also, is Baalf actually wi th Earthquake Warriors or is he more akin to a narrator? There us also the part of 'Try winning a battle with good looks.' With good looks, you can charm others into following you and otherwise doing what you say. Another concern is Marcus here, which is pretty much backwards. One thing is that he would be pausing every few words in his dialogue, though his sentence structure is otherwise about right. A more egregious part is Marcus actually being a Blood Knight but also a Martial Pacifist; he gets excited about battle, but only when he is in actual battle or if he is in a situation where battle is positively expected(say, a friendly sparring match or acolosseum). In actual conflicts, including the one in this video, Marcus would actually be eager in having this resolved WITHOUT violence. You got the '... I mean... he has... got a point.' part about fine, but Marcus would then say this: 'People seem... think... feel better with their own... kind... since they are... human... themselves. Monsters... are too new... even if... anthropomorphised.' On the list of crimes, he would say, ' ..but... you... did... did you not... do a lot of... bad stuff... too? I have... I know that... you wre not innocent... 100% innocent on... your part We had to... fix a lot of... the problems you caused. You need to own up to... YOUR responsibility... ...please.' Then when the guy says 'You can pretend you improved all you want. In reality, you're no different from us.', Marcus would feel upset at that accusation, but he would keep that to himself, at most thinking (...). When Maya Patra announces how her friends will defend monsterkind, Marcus would actually do a muted 'Uh huh.' He would be prepared in doing battle, but he would still be hanging on a peaceful solution, especially since others already showed willingness of peace. ALTernatively, if you still want him to say, 'Marcus, maybe it's for the best you sit this out.', Marcus would give a muted, though sincere, 'Uh uh. ...I wan a peaceful... solution... too... please.' Once the humans leave, Marcus would actually be relieved that the conflict at least had a temporarily non-voilent ending. By the by, Kerpymarcus learning something called 'End File' is interesting.
@@MarkyVigoroth Oof. Sorry I got Marcus's character that wrong. I might have to look through his dialogue then and rewrite it, because I swore you mentioned he was a pretty outspoken misanthrope, but I can gladly change it, especially if it comes off as insulting to the player. A few other things. Baalf is... basically "god" in this universe, since it's my game and Baalf is my mascot, The humans are all OCs, although many of them are based on other characters, with Monkiel being based on Sun Wukong. In addition, they kinda have a naming theme where they're all named "Blank-iel/ael," iel/ael meaning "of god." This is kind of in reverence to the Ten Wise Men from the Star Ocean 2 remakes, who were all given biblical names, with everyone but Metatron and Lucifer given an "iel/ael" name like Zadkiel, Raphael, Camael, Michael, Gabriel, etc. Part of Maya's character is that she believes ugliness is power, and one of the reasons she dresses so heavily and gaudily is to appear ugly to her opponents. Prettyness may charm an opponent, but ugliness can repulse and intimidate one.
@@baalfgames5318 That is not biggie. In fact, I should bear some fault, since you said tha the personality I gave Marcus was complex. Actually, I was hoping that I would rewrite Marcus' dialogue myself, since he is not only my character but also based off me. Then again, I noticed tha the proposed lines above go a little too long. I think that you got he original Cherubimon, the actual pretty outspoken misanthrope, mixed up with Cherubimarcus, whose misanthropy is far more subtle and philosophical. In fact, I could see the original Cherubimon talking in Marcus' lines above. That make sense about Baalf. Hn... that Biblical theme naming... One thing is that I appreciate Maya more now. However, I brought up that point because defending beauty would be something that 'relatable' humans would use. I was bringing nuance to the above conversation. Thinking abou this, monster ugliness would be used in othering humans who do not hold up to standards of beauty. The ugly monsters might relate to those ostracised humans, too. That would make the ostracised humans feel solidarity or even empowered... but also feel even more ostracised or even unlovable.

Thanks for taking a good look at the heroes at 31:00 onward. I've been looking for some decent references for these characters for a commission but trying to find vids or images of them that aren't just shitty ads was a nightmare.
Wonderful arcade run on Mighty Street Fighter 2 as Falchion22's version of Mike using Street Fighter V Balrog's playstyle. Very terrific, ngl. So Mike was the original name but was changed to Balrog by Capcom in the U.S. to not be sued by Mike Tyson. Speaking of Balrog, it was originally the name of Vega in the Japan version then was changed to Vega. And Vega was the original name of M.Bison then was changed to M.Bison.
Good run! Theo seems to be a fun character, though not my type :P This game's a bit difficult to learn and get good at, but it's fun! Also, good video :)
Well, it sure has been quite a while for this series. Giant fluffy beast sure did the quest solo to prove himself. Out of the blue you were telling him to get a move, including the fourth wall break with the pastor mentioning the hero being killed off. Like how every movie, tv show, book, or comics the character that everyone likes getting killed off would bring them disappointed, frustrated, upset or all of the above. Lasty, gtf seeing himself or his clone made him have a identity crisis.
Yeah, Stepmania is fun. Also, it looks like Nightcoring those songs made absolutely no difference. I looked on RU-vid Studio for any copyright notices and where they happened, and many of the songs in the video were brought up including the songs I Nightcored. No warnings or deletions were made yet, but still.
