Wilder may be somewhat over the hill but he's NOT washed up like media such as this & many of his fans are echoing. The TRUTH is Wilder has fought 95% sub-par competition & when he stepped it up he could only beat Ortiz with great difficulty losing to Fury, Parker & Zhang who is 3-4 years older than Wilder. Zhang was a horrible matchup to be fair with him being a southpaw with a 70lb weight advantage & power to match... BUT prior to that Parker who was stylistically better for Wilder very arguably shut him out 12-0 & was even able to clearly hurt him during one of the rounds. To put it bluntly, he's never been a world champion level fighter in any strong heavyweight era & fan jibes such as "BumZquad" were merited as he took the WBC title from a paper champion > got VIP treatment with soft touch mandatories including the paper champion Stiverne rematch coming out of nowhere unranked for 2 years > Of his 10 fight reign only Fury & Ortiz were worthy challengers. Not hating just my honest opinion on his ability, I still respect & enjoy Wilder as a fighter... The guy is a warrior with champion heart, elite power in that one tool he has & did great for a late starter. It's not unfair to point out that he was never as good as advertised, protected by his promotion to a title shot & the WBC as a reigning champ.
It's obvious that Fury and Zhang have knocked the heart and soul out of Wilder. Wilder has to retire now before he ends up with any more brain damage than he already has.
Fire your trainers WILDER???? What heavy weight top 10, is 214 pounds , your 6*6 U should be 250 to 270 , U needed more weight 5yrs ago before you fought Tyson Fury U were skinny & weak
i would like dubois to be all that these brits say about him , but the facts are he got 20 straight right hands with no defence in the first 2 rounds , then hrgovic gassed quick and dubois started headbutting towards a cut stopage . it was not a ko , it wasnt a decicive victory , he was just last man standing . hes flawed and when he gets real heat he quits . luckely for him hes british so he got a vacant belt gifted .
It's funny how he's a shell of a fighter and not what he used to be, when the same people said he was never any good. The same people who said he wasn't any good still put Tyson Fury on a pedestal for beating him twice in a trilogy. The same people who said Wilder never fought anyone. Won't admit he's still one of only three top heavyweights Fury has ever faced after Klitchko and Usyk. He achieved more in the sport as a late starter than most of the clowns who criticize him.
If I was his advisor, I would go back to his original team which included Mark Breland and the other trainer. Then, I would have him fight a few tune up fights to get his confidence back before fighting the top heavyweights.
Mark Breland throwing the towel was right. Wilder has been just getting beaten up after every fight afterwards with Breland gone and going downhill rapidly.
I don't understand this match. Jake cant win..... If he beats Mike, he's beaten an old guy - so what. If he loses, he was beaten by an old man - fool. It can only be about the money. But if that makes him happy, who am I to argue. I hope Mike wins.
Dubois probably needs one more tough fight before facing AJ, as Dubois MUST improve his defence and movement. He can't keep getting hit by right hands like he was against Hrgovic.
Wilder was not a boxer, he was a fighter. So the odd punch would land and he`d win. However, Fury knocked DW into a different world mentally. Parker and Zhang just banged in the final nails.
Still ducked the big boys in the heavyweight division 40 no bodys is a disgrace in my opinion he could of fought klichko instead kept the wbc belt hostage now karma caught up to him could of fought AJ in 2018 but got greedy
Its simple,he lost the hunger he had..he is rich his family are taken care of he did what he set out to do and become champion,he lost that hunger he is a rich man now,he ain't Hungary no more.good luck to him he gave us some great fights....
Wilder was an overachiever. He did greater things with that one right hand than most boxers with better skills and pedigree. Salute to all the overachievers. Man changed his life by just believing. Incredible!!
He's not a shell of a fighter. He's just now fighting guys that can hit and pressure him. Before, he was knocking out unknowns in America building his reputation. Bit like Fury I guess when he was fighting bums and hand picking opponents.
Wilder gave us some great fights shame how it might end for him.he needs to take a break from boxing.he lost his hunger now he set for life he chasing his former glory ,its gone for now the hunger has gone you could see it, it was like he was in a boring sparring session will he retire not sure but he definitely needs to have a long break before he thinks whats next...the fight its self was not a great spectacle but nothing from chang he did what he needed to do.power is his great asset both fighters are bangers but wilder lacking in confidence. good luck him.....
Wilder was knocked out with a cheap shot. His opponent has no class - Usyk could have hit Fury when he was down on the ropes but didn't - he showed the class that someone like ZZ will never have!!!
Wilder was never a top heavyweight! He faced 40 bums then got found out when he stepped up. It actually looks worse on fury that got put down a dozen times by this guy! These 2 have fooled the boxing world for over a decade! Neither has fought top guys on a regular basis. The WBC, who are an embarrassment in general have allowed these 2 to swan about talking shite for years! Boxing will be a better place without them!
@@ajvindiesel8517 AJ fought the former unified champion of the world in his 19th fight then had an unified title fight in his 21st fight 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 sit this one out son 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think this is the best analysis i've heard so far. Not to disrespect Mike, he is probably the greatest boxer in history, but he really can't have the stamina to keep up with a 27 y.o. man....even with all his knowledge, boxe is a taxing sport for endurance and physique. Of course Tyson could get 1 or 2 shots and hurt really bad Jake Paul maybe in the first 1 or 2 rounds (MAYBE)...but age and stamina will prevail in the end...even by a less than average professional like Paul is.
Forget boxing. Wilder won at life. For a man who only cared about paying his daughters medical fees to what he achieved and earned. That man deserves respect no matter what. I appreciate and will never forget the KOs, the fury trilogy, where both guys shaved YEARS from each others lives. Thank you deontay. A true phenomenon!!
Keep Dubois dad away from your corner though coz he was barking BS and is in the same league with John Fury. He may just ride that cloud of success than you want him to.
