What's the next journey? We will be taking a Caribbean cruise out of Puerto Rico on Norwegian Viva on 2/11 - 2/18/2024!
Hello! Thanks for watching. There weren't any flights of stairs...but I recall couple of areas with a couple steps. You should reach out Kawanti Adventures. Let us know what you find out.
Just got home from sailing on this ship. The cruise itinerary was amazing , staff were lovely and very helpful. We have sailed on the Jade and Gem and really liked them. This was our first time on this size of ship and we did not enjoy it at all, it just felt so cramped . The Garden Cafe buffet was very cramped and the variety of food was not great( we sailed on the Gem in January and liked the food). I think part of the problem was because it’s Alaska late May early June the outdoor areas were not being used much because of the weather. I would not book this size of ship again just too small and cramped.
Thanks for the quick reply. We will be there July 15th. Not sure if that's too early to see Bears. Trying to decide on this excursion or Neets Bay. Decisions, decisions. Any thoughts you would have would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks for this video, guys! We have the same room for a July cruise out of Southampton. Did someone from the ship flat out tell you that you could not use the forward balcony when at sea or was it just a recommendation. In March, we were in one of the Haven owner's suites with a wrap around balcony in March and no one told us we could not use the balcony when not in port. Granted, it's a totally different ship and all but I'm just curious. Also, were you told you had to keep the curtains closed at night due to the proximity of the bridge?
@@mikemcneil7124 Hi there! Yes, not being able to use the forward balcony was on the instructions by that door as well as was addressed by the butler. Yes, the buttler mentioned keeping the curtains drawn at night to not interfere with the Bridge's visibility. Have a terrific cruise! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sending me the link to this episode! Regrettably, many of these places have been on my "to visit" list but I haven't made it there yet. Definitely Eastern State and Trans-Allegheny are at the top of the list. However, I did manage to make it to Waverly Hills back in the mid-2000s, and the experience was incredible. My favorite story from there was when I was sitting in the cafeteria, just kind of taking it all in. Two guys from the investigation group walked in to join us, and something about them just felt so incredibly off. I told the person I was with "I don't like those guys. I get a bad feeling. Maybe one of them is a bad person, I don't know. It's just a really bad feeling". A couple minutes later we rejoined the main group and those two guys followed. Demonologist John Zaffis was with our group and he asked them "Hey, where's your friend?". They didn't know who he was talking about and said it was only the two of them. John replied "No, I know there were three of you. There has been a man all in black following you guys around all night". I don't know what that was, but I feel certain that it was whatever was giving me those bad feelings. I have smaller moments of experiences from there as well in my Waverly Hills episode. I've been meaning to go back there, but it's a fairly long trip for me. Maybe one of these days!
Thank you so much, Candise!! If you do get to the other locations, feel free to come back and post your experiences! I heard the account you posted above on your podcast and it gave me chills which is what led me to contact you. Y'all make sure to check Obscure Appalachia on your podcast provider or RU-vid if you're into the creepy and paranormal! I'll put the links to both in the video description!
This video is unwatchable. Have you never heard of editing? Walking around the entire ship in real time is excruciating. No need to show every single step around the ship. Also, get a microphone protector because listening to the wind rushing past is awful. Zero production values. You are a waste of internet space. No more please
Great video, I've booked this exact same stateroom #10006 on NCL Star in January. I have two questions : Did you have to pay to stock the fridge and bar? When did they enquire as to what you wanted, was it pre-cruise or only once on the ship? And OK this would be question 3 ... Did I hear you right that you can't use the front balcony unless you are at port?
Hey! Thanks for watching. NCL will reach out to inquire what you want in your fridge (as well as other snacks) prior to sailing. I can't remember how early but I think it was 45 days. It's included in your cruise fare. Yes, you heard correctly. You can't use your forward facing balcony while at sea...in port only. Great questions! Thank you for reaching out!
Thank you for the walkthrough. I’m signed up for an Alaskan cruise on this ship in September and am wishing I’d chosen more carefully. My fault, not NCL’s. I just think this is too big a boat for me with the emphasis on just about everything (especially parting clients with their cash) but nature and scenery.
It is the 3rd smallest ship in NCL'S fleet. To us, it felt smaller than Spirit (the smallest ship in the fleet). Sorry to hear you're regretting your booking. I hope the Sun pleasantly surprises you!
If you want a smaller ship expect to pay 2 to 3 times more for your cruise. Smaller than a 2,000 passenger ship are luxury ships with 300 - 1,200 passengers. I went to Alaska (7 days) on Silversea's Silver Shadow at $5k per person. Very nice but very expensive.
@@Spud-Smith I suspect you’re correct. In any case, I’m here and the ship will be at half capacity, so only me and 1000 other guests, lol! The previous departure encountered rough seas, so a larger ship should be more stable, at least.
I literally just stepped off this boat from a 9 day cruise to Alaska. My wife and i are avid cruisers and that was by far the worst boat we have ever been on. Everything was absolutely terrible. This is not a vacation cruise this is a transport from each port you go to. I highly highly recommend staying far away from this ship. I am even worried about booking another Norwegian cruise just because of this boat. 0/10
@@rodneyscales2648 Good luck with that. My wife and i went for our honeymoon 9 days out of Seattle. Norwegian should be ashamed of themselves for calling this boat a “cruise vacation”. The boat is very small. The food is disgusting and the entertainment is a joke if you can even find any. I really hope you have a better experience than we did but everyone we ended up speaking to on this trip felt the same way.
@rodneyscales2648 Wow! 30 Days!! Performer/Musician? My husband and I had a great time while we were on Sun and had no trouble finding entertainment...but we like the piano players and live musicians.
The blue ice of the Glacier is amazing. The skill involved when manoeuvring the ship 360degrees without a ripple on the water is incredible. You appear to be having the same fabulous weather that we had five years ago. One of our favourite cruises ever and also the first! Weren’t we lucky? 13:16 August 15th 2023, Durham, North East of England.
I would love to know where you are cruising. Is it an Alaskan cruise or a Norwegian one? I’ve been on an Alaskan cruise with Holland America line and Norway with P&O. Both were amazing and we saw whales, doll porpoises, dolphins and eagles. But I’ve never hiked!
Very informative, thank you. I really like the way you’ve filmed after your stuff is in the wardrobes and drawers. I’ve never cruised with Norwegian line up to now but it looks similar to P&O ‘s older cruise ships.
We don't do karaoke but you're in luck, we're traveling with our friend Danica who does. She says the karaoke is very good and everybody is very supportive. She hasn't heard of any competitions.
@@joyfulwanderer.travel Thanks for the info Danica, I really appreciate it. Have fun -- I hope to book one of the last cruises of the the season this October :)
You're very welcome, Matt! You do great work and it deserves to be highlighted. This is just the 1st of many videos that will feature your beautiful magnets and ornaments.
Haven't cruised since 2017, as our 2020,2021,2022 cruises didn't happen- due to illnesses and the Pandemic. Going on NCL to Bermuda in 2024- can't wait to get back on a ship!
