Good evening I wouldn't fancy it but Dave would love it. Looks like superman flying by . I wonder how many decide not to go after the practice run. It is certainly a stunning location. It definitely looks an adrenaline rush, I enjoyed watching from the comfort of my sofa. A great video thanks for sharing best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
@AdventureRuss

Thanks Dawn, yes the practice run feels great until the end where suddenly coming into land you realise how fast it is! It does though give you the confidence to then go for the big one, until you see how much more steep the zip line is at 500ft high that is! Ha! Rather nerve racking, but superb feeling once you hit the higher speed off it. Hopefully Dave can enjoy the thrill of it one day! :) Thanks for watching!

You had to have your wits about you on that one, Russ. Pretty scary downhills with all that loose gravel and wet track. The trees, the sheep, distant views... really beautiful. I didn't think it was possible to get The Yorkshire 3 peaks route wrong🤣 You missed two of the best parts of the walk. The ascent up Pen y Ghent via the "sharp end" from the other side and the walk back to Horton from Ingleborough. On a more serious note, I'm not sure the lad with the split boots really shouldh've have attepted it with his footware in that state. But fair play to him for getting as far as he did without injury.
@AdventureRuss
@AdventureRuss Месяц назад
Yes lessons learnt that day! I have since been up sharp edge, and off Ingleborough to Horton on a good weather day! Much more enjoyable, and less walking! James did well, unfortunately his boots packed in on Pen-Y-Ghent but he still walked for another 6 hours so fair play like you say.

Lovely, Russ, enjoyed it very much. All that beautiful fresh water and everywhere so green. What was the name of the bridge/river where you first stopped? It sounded like 'Bishop's Harp', not sure. It was beautiful looking down that river. Loved seeing the city too, people out walking, holding hands, some jogging. Thanks so much and hope you keep fit forever :)
@AdventureRuss
@AdventureRuss Месяц назад
Yes it’s a great area and a superb night to be out on the bike too. That’s Bishopthorpe, and the river is the River Ouse which runs right through York from the bridge, only a 3-4 miles away from the city centre at that point. York is a popular place to visit, and a good place to run/ride so yes hopefully I’ll stay fit forever 😂🤞🏻! Take care and speak soon.

Well done. You do know that you came off Ingleborough the wrong way though would have saved you miles if youd taken the right turn. The stone marker coming off the summit marks left where you came up then you go right at it to come back down direct to Horton. Its a tough walk regardless and with your detours you did loads extra so massive achievement
@AdventureRuss
@AdventureRuss 2 месяца назад
I know haha! We didn’t realise at the time because it was so cloudy, it added an extra 3 miles onto the walk (around 28miles in total) I have since been there in better weather and did see the right trail, which I will definitely be taking next time 😂 Thanks for watching and enjoy your hiking.
