I just retired August 15th 2022 bought a Van and decided to pack it up and drive across country looking for cool places to Hike & Backpack. I am NOT a professional RU-vidr, influencer, hiker, van-lifer or traveler I'm just an old guy who want's to travel the country and try to explore before it's too late, so if you want to go along for the ride awesome maybe throw in some suggestions along the way. The “character” comes from all the superfund sites that the water flows through town. Also the great amount of meth addicts and alcoholics. Be careful of the locals-they’ll poison you or rob you.
I live about an hour from this park, I go as much as possible. I use to live 30 minutes away for the last 30 years, but moved, now I am little further away, but still my go to place. I am there least once a month during the summer months, I also fo a few times during the winter, but most of the place is closed in the winter.

I hope i can encourage you to visit again either here or at some other treasures of Western NY. There is Stonybrook State Park in Dansville NY, which is not to far from Letchworth and Watkins Glenn which is farther East. And a slew of other awesome places. I’m from Perry NY and have enjoyed Letchworth falls my whole life. I miss it so much! I live in Northern IL for most of my life. But, we went home to Perry every year as a child. Last time I was home to enjoy the park was about 4 yrs ago. ❤

Thank you so much for watching yes we left later we hit the trail Sept 27th and it took us 13 days. if we had to do it over we would have one it earlier like you, just because of the water situation. Please keep us updated I am hoping the best for you, just a small tip to keep in mind lots of people attempt and quit because it is truly hard so force yourself to take a easy day or a day off I know too many who regret quitting. You will so proud of yourself who care if it takes 13, 14, 15 days keep watching my videos and say out loud if that guy can do it I know I can...🤣🙌

Tony, great video, and you have a fantastic backyard. Too bad Bo-Man (Beau-Man?) couldn't join you. This video makes me want to do the R2R even more (hopefully, late April24 start - unless I start right earlier in the month after the eclipse). Can you share the campground you started from? Completely understand if you cannot. Anyway, I think that your friend looked like a "Francesco" more than Paul, Dale, Pablo, etc. I always get a few chuckles from your videos, and this one provided. Finally, and most importantly, GREAT SCENERY, and the reason I have to get on the R2R!

I live in AZ and have been all the places you have been. I have a small trailer (size of teardrop). I am blessed to own my own business and have worked/camped all over Northern AZ. When I work from the Sedona area, I hike early in the morning. When in Sedona, I park early at one of the Public Parking spots and use it as my base for the day while walking around town. To be honest, I haven't been out for a year or so with the trailer. But...as my favorite channel, you have inspired me. Thanks Tony for sharing these amazing videos, love it!
