Saw one at a time trial at Atlantic City NJ and it was impressive. Came into the pit to find out why it wasn't running right and found a plug wire off. That made its performance on 3 cylinders even more impressive. I wanted one but never found an importer 😞

I miss a typical detail of the 1600 HF which are the 2 small air inlets on each side, low end of the grill. Strange. My first series fulvia 1200 cc with the 1600 engine still is not a 1600 HF.
Even though Porsche has continued to relentlessly refine the 911, this is the one that I love. The styling was damn-near perfect and the performance would most likely satisfy anyone not trying to set Nurburgring records. Maybe the best daily driver ever made.
The mat black paint on the works car, went all the way up to the windscreen and on top of the wings so no red paint could be seen from the drivers seat.
