How can you use it to make coffee if it doesn't fit? 🤔 Can it not fit on the top of everything, below the silicone cap? I have an older model, so it's a genuine question.
@@richardwillson101 Yep doesn't fit at all. There is no combination that works. I had to retire the zip and go with the flash just so i could fit the new design coffee press. Very annoyed.
Would you say this protects the windshield from rock chips from other cars going by. I was going to get a windshield protector for trailering but I’d just get one of these if it protects from rock chips. I like the look of it . Thanks for the information!
I have since sold the 2 door and got the max 4 door. I have the windshield cover and like the windshield cover better than the whole sxs cover for the windshield protection.
You made videos of all the cleaning, no reason and skipped over the most crucial part! 99% of the reason people clicked on this video. How do you actually remove the clutch!!!!
Its pretty simple. The directions for it can be found on canams website. Theres a small hole at the bottom of the cage and at the top of the cage at the roof. I just fished it up through the cage with a fish tape. Ran it through the dash behind the steering wheel and it hooks up to two posts, a red for hot and black for neutral.
Sorry I meant more where you are putting the junction box. I’m wiring up some full deluxe doors and just not sure where to put that. And I got all these extra parts for the windshield wiper harness that I’m not gonna use right now.
My machine (23 limited) is making the exact same noise. Dealer replaced the front differential under warranty but new one still making the same noise. They said there is currently no fix from BRP such as a shim kit like there is with the 20-22 models. To be determined what the dealer decides to do next.
Dealer removed front axles and machine still made the noise while in motion. Now dealer is saying it’s my (factory) 30” tires; they put a set of 27” on and the noise went away. Who knows. Still a work in progress luckily under warranty. Going to try a new set of 30” tires. Seems weird to me, not sure if anyone has a defender xmr that has a similar issue?
It's on the 2023 commander 700 as well. I had my original diff replaced under warranty. The second diff made it 65 miles and smoked the clutches. They replaced it again and said it's the last one because my warranty is expired, just picked it up an hour ago and the problem is not fixed.
Great video, installing one of these on friends defender today, wasn't aware of the door harness tho, should be fun, lol. Where did you get that kit so cheap at on ebay? Have looked but no luck...
Thx for the video. I was wondering if they had some thermostat built in or not. I am troubleshooting my heated seats that don’t seem to work now and the voltages at the switches don’t make sense.
That was loud before adding the fluid change. Seemed to make a decent difference though. What do you think of the can am half doors on this machine vs the full soft doors your old machine had?
I really like them. Keeps mud and water out of the cab. Keeps the dog in the back seat. Glad I got them over the soft doors. Ill probably end up getting the off road armor upper doors this winter. It gets pretty cold not having a upper part on the door like on the soft doors.
@@mdavidson2183 I’m glad to hear that! I just bought a 2023 hd9 XT. I have watched all your videos. Very helpful btw! I decided on the half doors like you have now and I also ordered the off road armor uppers. I plow a lot in winter and figured they will be a must! Thanks
Cover is a poor fit if you have fender flares. I had to cut top corner seams at the rear corners to allow my rear lights to protrude and get cover to fit at front. So I have no confidence cover will stay on if you install per instructions. I pulled bottom strap forward and pulled it under the front shocks then clipped it it closed.
I’m curious about the doors. Now that it’s been awhile, how do you feel about the soft doors you had previous vs these half doors? I just bought a 2023 defender and can’t make up my mind on doors. I’m going to be plowing with it, and I know I’ll need something. After watching your videos, it seems that trailering cover will be necessary as I trailer a lot. But I have read cab lights that I don’t think will fit. Curious how your making out and feeling between the two.
How’s the poly holding up? I’m going to buy the flip up but not sure if I should get the poly or glass. Seems like everyone says the poly scratches and to just get glass. I can’t decide.
I had the poly for 3 years before getting the glass flip on my new machine. I would recommend glass if you can afford it. If not the hard coat poly is fine. Mine held up great. You just have to be careful with it when washing. Use microfiber cloths that are clean. I washed it first. If it rained I had a silicone car detailing squeegee that I used as a windshield wiper. Never had any scratches.
Yeah that's the only part I came here to find too. The instructions don't mention anything about the wiring. Does it connect to the battery direct, does it connect under the dash, what is the point of that wiring post mounted to the roof... I'm lost lol
I’ve been thinking about adding the the rear nets that are on the back of the front seats so the rear passengers have a little storage. How are yours holding up? Do they seem durable? Thanks
I’ve thought about getting these for my Defender Max. Do they seem like they are good quality and will hold up over time? Are yours still holding up ok?
