It's just interesting to me that After War Gundam X is one of the more obscure entries in the Gundam franchise, and yet it is the one with perhaps the most widespread meme outside of the Gundam fandom.
@@matteste yeah It’s one of the less mainstream ones but I can tell you that it has a pretty dedicated cult following, myself included. it’s a good line too even within the original context.
>Bush administration during 9/11 and War On Terror >Sonic Team for most of the 3D Sonic era >Andrew Tate whenever he opens his mouth >Iron Maiden since 2003
Thank you, M.D Chaos for uploading this OST! I honestly didn’t even know this existed even as someone who loves the OVA adaptation. I’m glad there’s people out there online who love Kakugo no Susume as it’s one of the best things I’ve ever watched. It’s a shame this series is seen in a terrible light here in the anime fandom. I hope more people look into the manga as it’s fully translated to the end so there’s no excuse at this point.
Mecha is my favourite anime genre and Macross is my favourite anime franchise, so Kawamori always has a place in my heart. Add to that I didn't actually like mecha when I first got into anime. It was the fighter jet aspect of Macross that got me into watching it, then I fell in love with giant robots. Kawamori definitely has a specific style. Not all his designs just look like the VF-1, but he likes to design machines with speed in mind. Even in his bulkier designs, there is a slickness with design features from racing cars and jets. I don't think he particularly likes slow, lumbering robots. He's very hit and miss when he has a hand in the story, but the man is a master of mechanical design.
Interesting points about him not being into slow robots. And yeah Kawamori as a story creator can be kinda dodgy, I think aquarion and Macross Delta are him at his best.
Hot take but I REALLY want a Biopunk 3rd person shooter/action game like Dark Sector again. Warframe is fine don't get me wrong. I just like the more modern-ish setting and going up again enemies with increasingly more badass powers. I grew up on Guyver, and my favorite OVA being Baoh. One of my favorite moments in recent RE was when you play as Pierce and grow a giant arm cannon.
Nah same, love the aesthetic of games like this, the Prototype series, etc. Big reason why I'm also a huge fan of classic Doom's setting, I love the flesh and metal aesthetic.
Dark Sector is the kind of game that makes me feel nostalgic of late 00's 7th gen edge like Dead Space and Prototype. It's a shame they completely abandoned it in favor of Warframe.
Little tidbit, Warframe allows you to equip a glaive as your melee weapon and it works the same way as it did in Dark Sector. What's even better is that there's an Weekly Act called Ways of the Old in which you're required to kill a certain number of enemies equipped with only a Glaive and a Pistol in your loadout The Technocyte Virus was reworked for Warframe as a more cosmic, eldritch horror that created the Infested. As a further nod to Hayden weaponizing the virus, one of the Warframes you can get is Nidus, which uses that same virus as its main gimmick in its Abilities, mutating and evolving himself as he infects more and more enemies I'm only just now seeing that black market and it definitely got referenced as the dealer Darvo. Same accent, too.
I think it seriously speaks to how incredibly powerful Jet Alone was when Eva 01 had to SPRINT to keep up when it was just walking, and it took everything Eva 01 had just to get it to stop.
I can’t even count anymore how many times I beat Dark Sector back to back, such a good game. The glaive has been my only weapon of choice for Warframe. It would be badass if you could control the flight of the glaive in Warframe like you can in Sark Dector
Except he didn't say that, not really. In the Japanese, it's あの女狐から暗殺されることを恐れ、 私はアホのふりを7年間続けた。"I kept up that drooling idiot facade for seven years out of fear of being assassinated by that bitch."
