What a beast! I’ve seen a lot of buses from this batch and I’m soon to own one myself, definitely a good batch of Tridents these! However, despite that comment; is this one in limp mode?
Much as I am not comfortable asking the depot why they stopped running the London Suburban Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s on routes N26, 30, 121, 230, 271, 349, N279 And 158 why can’t we make the same make of the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Buses but Modernise the insides of these Buses. Also, make it low floor up and down and extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space for the wheelchair users. By the way, if you could remake and Modernise these vehicles could they also make them into a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s that if it will be possible and Modernise the insides of these Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space and even a London Suburban Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more. Why couldn’t we have those London Suburban Buse's Pale red on the top roof Pale red again on the top middle Milk Chocolate brown in the Creamy middle white on the Bottom Middle and Milk Chocolate Brown on the Bottom on most of those kinds of those Particular Double Decker Vehicles? Could you put the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox in the Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also put the Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox in the Volvo TD102KF Engine East Lancs Olympus and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more and also turn most of them to a London Suburban Buses. By the way, could you also make the routes N26, 349, 121, N279 and 271 into London Suburban Buses and have a mixture of a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Versions. Could they also transfer the Arriva Bus Depots from Hackney to Stagecoach company so they can replace all the Arriva buses so that all of them can go to Birmingham and Leeds? They can be replaced by Stagecoach Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox Volvo TD102KF Engine East Lancs Olympus and also Extend the Middle body part of these Vehicles and that includes A Mixture of a Stagecoach Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox Volvo TD102KF, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 6LXCT Engine Northern Counties Palatine One and that Includes a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC Vehicles A Little Bit More? Can Arriva London Bus Company Replace Most of their Wight Buses so they can also transfer them to Birmingham and Also Manchester so they can be replaced by Loud 3-Speed ZF Ecomat Gearboxes Volvo D10A Engine East Lancs Olympus and also Extend the Middle body part of these Vehicles A Little Bit More Thank You Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Much? This bus was new to Lothian Buses plc as 152 in 2000 with maroon route branding for service 22 (Gyle Centre - Ocean Terminal) which was removed a few years later and was later renumbered 452 between Autumn 2007 and Autumn 2008 when Lothian purchased a batch of sixteen Wright Eclipse Urban-bodied Volvo B7RLEs numbered 151 - 166. 151 - 160 are the 57 plate buses in dark blue route branding for service 49 "The Leader of the Pack!" and 161 - 166 are the 58 plate buses in the normal fleet livery. Lothian also purchased four 58 plate Wright Eclipse 2-bodied Volvo B7RLEs numbered as 167 - 170. 167 - 169 were delivered in the normal fleet livery whilst 170 had blue route branding for service 49 "The Leader of the Pack!"
@@eclipsetransportvideos6280 165 - 175, which were renumbered as 465 - 475 (except 175 which became 475), received green route branding Lothian Buses Park & Ride service 48/X48 (Sheriffhall - Ingliston/Ratho) in 2005 until they were replaced Plaxton President bodied-Dennis Tridents 541 - 545 (V541/2/3/4/5 ESC) in Summer 2008.
@@eclipsetransportvideos6280 The first batch of darts numbered 451 - 475 (previously 151 - 175) were withdrawn in late 2009/early 2010. The second batch of darts numbered 176 - 192 were withdrawn between Summer 2013 and early 2014. 181 - 186 (Y181/2/3/4/5/6 CFS) were renumbered as 41 - 46. The third and fourth batch of darts numbered 51 - 100 were withdrawn in Spring 2015 with the exception of TB51 - 53 until they were replaced by Wright Eclipse Urban bodied-Volvo B7RLE's numbered as TB101 - 106 in October 2015.
The bottom of the windscreen windows were better on the Renowna and Flolines than on the Eclipses and Solars. The bottom of the windscreen windows were far too low on the Eclipses and Flolines.
SYTT have a good amount of old Mainline including: 5 Dennis Dominator including popular 2120, 4 Volvo B10M-55 Alexanders including 767, a Volvo B10BLE Wright Renown(The Rarer Mainline Yellow Bar and Red Seat variant and now a recently preserved Volvo B7TL ALX400. They have done very well. I definitely recommend going to their Summer Open Day.
I don't think that is the radiator, that sounds like the air dryer. If the radiator was leaking it would be dripping coolant or steam which usually results in instant problems rather than sounding awful for some time as I have seen various buses making this sound go on for a while, although if it gets worse the bus might lose too much air and could get stuck.
I remember the Liberators They were my childhood bus i used to catch to the swimming pool around 2013/2014 sometimes. I miss them now we have streetlites and streekdecks and stuff. Welp at least we have the B7TL and the B9TL. I like the wright eclipse too. But I miss the good old liberators RIP. late 90's-2015 (somewhere round there) The last of the Leyland olympians we had in Sheffield were with BrightBus.com and left our streets in 2017 :(
this video makes me want streetlites to not have even been thought of. Some of these were low-floor and DDA compliant anyway, why bother withdrawing and scrapping them? And the Olympians could have just been used for school services or sold on to another operator.
I mean the streetlites arent too bad but yes i didnt wanna say goodbye to my childhood buses. I was only 5 when they got rid of the Liberators in Sheffield. And the Olympians, Well i must have been too young to see inside and know but they must have still been around when i was born
