Hi Karen. There are so many of the things that need sorting out after years and years of neglect by all governments and most of them should be non partisan issues, the health service, infrastructure, housing these are not blue, red, orange, purple, green or pink with spots on issues these are problems that have to be solved for future generations. As grown ups they should all be round a table together, no arguing just ideas and solutions for the good of the country and its population. I may live in cloud cuckoo land but we are now at a point in time where if we don’t all work together for the greater good…what’s the point. We look after our neighbours and our communities, government should be following our lead. Work together for the majority, leave your egos at the door. 🙏❤️😻

I was waiting to hear those issues addressed too. In the States we are having the same proplems plus supporting You-Cane and the "guests" who continue to pour into our country by the thousands...everyday. The price of food is nearly out of reach for many people and our medicines are often on back order. It's bad here too. We are about to have a very heated election and no matter which side wins, utter chaos is going to break loose. Sigh.
I don't suppose the politicians will be enduring any hardship after the budget. And frankly, if politicians weren't so afraid of upsetting huge corporations and billionaires and made a few changes there, we would probably all be in a much better situation. Targeting average people who can't fight back, as if it's our fault the country is such a mess in the first place, is just the cowards way out. They should be ashamed but they won't be because these idiots who live in their glass bubbles have no idea what goes on in the real world.
Just sharing and I honestly carnot remember where I saw this hack, but, slow cooker liner bags. I saw a hack where someone used 2 liners but separately, in the slow cooker . I tried this, i cooked a small gammon in 1 bag loosely tied, and potatoes in the other also loosely tied. It worked ok!
People have voted Labour out of desperation. They are not going to be pleased about this, especially about the rise in cost of electric. You rightly say that the utility companies and water are making record profits. I have just bought a flat which used to be part of one building, and it doesn't have its own supply yet. National Grid want £2,500 just to connect me to the electric! The cheek of it!
If all the government stopped taking their pay for a year that would help , we should fine them as they got us into debt .if we overspend we would be in trouble
Until MPs get their snouts out of the trough I will not believe anything they say. Apart from THEIR fuel allowance I really object to their food and drink in the Houses of Parliament being subsidised if not free. That should be stopped immediately unless they can prove that they are entertaining on official business and that shouldn't be treated as a limitless beano either
The government’s just don’t care about us , just care about themselves being in power . We have to do as we are told . Every government that get in always moan about the last government how much a black hole we was left in etc etc so it cut cut cut this cut that . We all knew it was coming let’s not pretend any of us believe any political party’s lies . Vote reform next time
Disgusted with it all, lived...no survived by the skin of my teeth... through Labour, Tory, Labour, Tory, Labour...the only thing that changes is that everything gets worse and we get poorer. Haring yesterdays speech felt like sitting through some sanctimonious headmasters talk to the school assembly after someone had been caught doing something wrong. I too wanted to kick the telly.
There is nothing wrong with being a millionaire Karen. If you have worked for it why not? people can only get themselves put of poverty and should do more to help themselves.... No one has given me anything, and I'm doing ok, If I can do it anyone can .

Believe it or not your being shown how this treasonous system works. This will not be a good time for people who haven’t realised what’s happening in the world. You ll be finding out over time how everything you were told in life was a lie. The general public have been used as human batteries to feather the elites pockets for centuries. It was a speech that has drawn universal distain from every part of the spectrum. Karen, you're in the vast majority on this. Doing more of the same but told to somehow expect a different outcome? Isnt there a saying about that?
As me da wouldve said they're all the one sows pigs and the devils their uncle.... I think government more crooked than the criminals being locked up. How can we ever make a peg of it if they can lie their way through everything, shift the goalposts to suit themselves.... I've worked all my life now retired with multiple health issues I have to wait until age 67 before I can have my pension. I will watch to see if I can learn your tips for managing in spite of them. MPs get £1500 fuel allowance and yet ordinary pensioners trying hard to survive will not get their £150 this year. Its disgusting. One rule for the rich and another for everyone else.
