Does the tunnel smell like piss? I have this small tunnel on my way to work and I take the long way around... sometimes there woulf be a full mattres and someone sleeping that I would have to avoid.
the hub motor makes to much noise compared to Bafang mid motors. At the end of the video you will see the hub motor struggle at a steep hill. Mid motors are better choice.
Just purchased a cross current x model , mid drive may have more torque but I live in the mountains of North Carolina and can pull most hills with pedal assist at 25mph and provides a much smoother ride with torque and cadence sensors . No delay
What a beautiful ride! You're fortunate to have such solid bike infrastructure. My Cross Current Air will arrive in about a week and it will be my daily driver. It's videos like this that get me really excited.
That was nice and succinct Chad, good job! I particularly like the use of your scaling slides. So far I'm neither pro or contre to developing in component teams or feature teams. To a certain degree it depends on the problem we're trying to solve. I also believe that it depends a little on the technologies applied within that problem i.e. scale of various components being integrated. In any case I like your explanation, and your simple diagrams, well done!
Awesome! If you "turn off" the assistance is the bike terrible to peddle? I know it weighs more than a regular bike but is there resistance from the motor? Does it also have regenerative charging? For instance if you are going down hill does it charge the battery a little? Thanks.
First, great video and I'm really leaning towards upgrading from my Trek FX to a Juiced bike for my 15-mile (RT) weekday commute. BTW, what kind of smartphone holder are you using on your bike and do you like it?Second, I'd LOVE to have this type of bike path system here in Honolulu. The local Govt here talks about being pro-environment but they're far from it. They recently took out a section of streetside parking meters, striped it, stamped it with the bike lane logo, and touted it as some great accomplishment for bike commuters. While those of us who "commute" from areas not within view of the tourists get stuck with having to ride on the shoulder of roads that are in worse condition than some third world countries.
It may be a possibility that Tora (the Juiced bike Engineer) will be coming out with a 500w rear hub motor and a few other upgrades on his next year's Juiced Crosscurrent model; just guessing from various feedback from his latest step thru model of this e-bike.
Cool! I should be getting one of these on Friday. Do you like it so far? It sounds like you were huffing pretty hard at the end (going up the hill), but you were flying.
Love it. Great for commuting. I ride it M-F rain or sun. I added a rear rack and mudguards. I usually avg. 18-23 depending on my load I am carrying each day.
