Thank You sincerely for your VERY BEAUTIFUL performance of my work. It was wonderful in every way. I am Robert Gielas, the composer. I thank you all !!!
A high school choir? Where? I love this piece, which I have only ever found in the Lutheran Book of Worship. Thank you for this lovely arrangement and performance.
This choir sounded quite childish, to be honest. It sounded horrible. The director took it way too fast, sopranos sounded like children and they stretched their vowels. It lacked energy all-together.
By far the BEST performance I've seen the Marching Indians ever do! Proud to be a part of the SSHS Music Program. Deserves every Grand Champion they received and more!!
Y'all were awesome last night! I really enjoyed the show. I heard y'all got 3 grand champion trophies this year, way to go! You got what it takes :) --East Davidson Band Mom
The song they are singing is really "Hark, I Hear Harps Eternal." An early version appeared as hymn #84 entitled: "Morena," author: F.R. Warren, in "The Shining Light, a varied collection of sacred songs for Sabbath-schools, social meeting and the home circle," published in 1879. The early version does not have a hallelujah chorus. It is a sharp-note hymn for musically novice singers. Alice Parker arranged this version.
Lol I don't know the name of the song but I danced along to it. It's something everyone can dance along to. So much fun last night. What better way to end a day than by dancing and then later on finding out that you're band wins grand champion.
