All I can say is in a situation like this it takes a vehicle assault to destroy the enemy vehicles. Especially with the Sunderer upgrades that are in the game now. Me personally I would have been in a harasser with the enforcer as far away from the enemy vehicles trying to pick them off one by one. With the current Sundy upgrades I don't think I'd stand a chance in destroying one of them. Either that or build a base with the flail ( if it's still in the game ) and wreck havoc with it. The Flail would go to town on those close formations of infantry and vehicles. No one understands (except for other engineers) that the yellow smoke means instant death if your near it.
one thing I've recently discovered is the effectiveness of the NCM2 Falcon's in destroying deployed/shielded sunderers, provided you can attack from a position of cover less than 100m away or so.. i had not yet figured this out when i recorded this video but will show the results soon Raven's are still superior against anything moving or at longer ranges but the Falcon's out dps them by a significant margin, and you can use peek shots to minimize damage taken, making them somewhat useful again after so many years of being ignored by most, myself included
This base should be a real pain to defend with the super duper sunderers now. Normally I'd just drive the perimeter and kill the sundy's in my harasser. Now I'd just look at them and wish I could do something.
yeah true, but maybe now we will actually get to have fights at Baldur amp again ^^ as it was this leg of the lattice stalled advancing forces coming from the east or west directions before they could reach the amp station, as most groups would just get their sundees blown while trying to cap pale canyon or watersons i do miss the version of Esamir that had the original WG's, Elli amp station, and Biolabs instead of Containment sites but also had the newer lattice connections allowing you to bypass those Biolabs in certain directions via the 3 surrounding satellite bases, sort of like you have on Indar right now that Esamir existed somewhere between Esamir 2.0 and 3.0 iirc
@@serial2663 The other day I was harassed right in the spawnroom. There were a lot of us and everyone saw this, but no one paid attention to this crap. Like, we even ignore them already. [Miller]
@@BioSForm these guys usually disappear from the game in short order most people just laugh it off and i suppose that isn't the reaction they are looking to get when doing stuff like this
I've been playing this game for just over 10 years now. This is the absolute best shooter out there. From how many different ways built into the game to communicate with others, how many different spawn options you have, the sheer size of the battles, to how you can deploy any kind of vehicle you want at any time and no one can take it from you! We need to recruit more players to keep this game alive and rockin! I play on Cobalt (EU), and Emerald (USA), Cobalt being my main. If you're new, and you're looking for some help, Join the Vanu and whisper "Baldeva" on the EU Cobalt server. I'm always willing to help new players save our planet from those dirty TR and NC factions!
haha yeah, those bridge fights were either super fun or absolutely brutal depending on how many snipers were on either side i really used to love MAX battles on that bridge
weekends are really where it's at as far as population count goes, often having atleast one maxed out continent weekdays are slower, except tuesdays which usually have more outfits doing their ops nights
Typical NC cluster f . No real plan, pushing Sundy's up front when they should have stayed in back and no follow on forces like tanks and harassers. On a side note I once got 40+ kills with the flail on that area of the map.
haha yeah that's the way she goes i guess, i just do my best to play the cards as they're dealt out i was surprised there were no harassers with us this time, usually there's atleast a few with halberds or trawlers with a group this size very few ESFs being used on either side too for some reason
Seems like this fight would have been made for the Promise with the compensator, smart feeder and laser sight. The only problem would have been snipers shooting you in the head if you stayed in position too long while you laid down some hate. Could have mitigated that using the resist shield. All and all seems like a good fight with both sides not wanting to quit.😄. If I were there I would have redeployed one base back pulled my harasser equipped with the enforcer and went Sundy hunting to kill their respawn rate. I would have stayed as far away from them as I could.
lol yeah, the promise would have done well in this fight also, although its damage drops off sooner than the EM6 so it's a tradeoff i guess the SAW can also be good in fights like this when you only have time to land one or two headshots before ducking behind cover again, the 200 dmg rounds can sometimes net you a kill when a 167 or 143 dmg round won't for this fight and pretty much every other i am using the resist shield killing their sundie would have been a good call, although perhaps now after the update it might be a bit more difficult, we shall see how the changes affect that going forward
yes that's probably true, i remember one subscriber years ago dubbing me the 'kamikaze soldier' for that reason lol i suppose i changed my tactics a bit over time for a few reasons extreme aggression is a double edged sword in that when it works it really works, but when it doesn't you just end up dead and not in a position to be of any use while you return from the spawnbox that being said, i found viewers were less fond of videos where i spent alot of time running back from said spawnbox over and over lol this fight in particular where we were outnumbered by about 10% is one where boldness as a HA will often yield little benefit towards the outcome overall, and these days i really enjoy trying to be as effective a HA as possible for whatever faction i am fighting for i may go back to my old style from time to time now that i have a bit more subs and i realize some of you might enjoy that more i appreciate the thoughtful observation, i sometimes don't notice my playstyle changing over time and it's always good to remember the road that brought me to this point
i still enjoy it quite a bit, there were some changes that people in general weren't fond of over the years but some of them have been rolled back give it a try and see how it plays now, there's still lots of great big fights like this on weekends
Didn't you hear that TR infil say "hostile Liberator spotted"? I kinda hate that base, Moss Ravine, because it's crammed into that nook in the map with those over hanging rocks. Hard to defend because you have to run all the way from the back spawn tube to the front of the base. It's easier to defend if some smart NC puts a stealth bus up in the rocks by the capture point.
yeah moss ravine is sort of hit or miss with me, it's fun when someone placed a sundie well and both sides are equal distance from the cap point but tbh the fights here usually get ruined alot by poor sundie placement way out by the road or something most outfit platoons still attack it right, and then it can be great
true, but you can't OS what you don't see coming i suppose after the fact it would've helped but orbitals damage on underground infantry can be janky so who knows
hi some advice deactivate vertical sync to have more than 60 fps I don't know if your a good pc or not put you will see if more fps it's better to make more kills
Hey, i actually have Smoothing turned on instead of Vsync, which helps stabilize your RoF if like me you have an older CPU that sometimes dips below 60fps in larger fights I am going to be finally getting rid of my old R5 2600 in the next few days and switching to a 5600x which should solve most of my fps problems for a while i hope 😎
Surprise; an actual good fight on Planetside 2. I hate the capture point location at that base. It should be under the bridge. 😮. Kidding ; not kidding.
yeah this base loves valk drop point holds as vanu did here.. once you have the point you just shoot anyone trying to jump the gaps from either direction and it's pretty much a done deal
TI Alloys the most useless base to fight over. What a huge time suck just to sit and either defend or assault that base. Why Wrel chose to turn that base into such a huge choke point is beyond me. He should have left it alone with the spear turrets out front. At least then you could have turret fights with The Crown's turrets. Which was fun.😄
there was a brief period of time where they experimented with simply deactivating it as a base, which was a tacit admission of this in a way tbw atleast when the rock bridge between it and crown existed it was more vulnerable to attack and didn't end up being a gigantic quagmire all the time.. sometimes there were actually great 3-way fights with infantry coming up the hill from ceres hydro aswell then again, those bridge fights also had a tendency to turn into sniper shooting galleries or sometimes would just be bombarded with bulldog or HESH spam so..
Good stuff. You should zoom your minimap so it covers the relevant space your fighting in. The map was showing practically the entire base. Hard to get an idea of what your approaching if you see that much area.
Yeah that's true, although for this fight i was mainly trying to stick with the larger NC groups wherever they went to be where the action was that being said, i really do wish the map of the containment sites were redone somehow to better highlight the various underground pathways of the base thanks for watching!
I don't know why, but I'm used to watching your videos. It looks like they're trying to calm me down. You have a kind of calm and sad introvert style in this game. :v
haha yeah, i guess because i never have chat on or run in platoons much it must seem that way.. introverted is probably right, but not so much sad; you'll see me do my little bunny hops down hills or stairs and so on because i always feel content and at home in a fight anywhere on Auraxis the calmness i guess comes from the fact that i am a former stoner that for many years found a sort of meditative quality to getting lost in a big fight somewhere in all the 1's and 0's bouncing around, and that mindset kinda stuck with me ever since i did the platoon and outfit op thing many times over the years, starting with DVS way back in beta, but now i just mainly enjoy fighting for whatever faction i am playing as, in whatever way a HA is most useful to them i do sometimes miss the more organized tactical gameplay you get with a well run platoon/outfit though all that being said, i'm glad you get something positive out of watching. I always figured these moments in PS2 were only worth recording if someone enjoyed watching them cheers!
@@serial2663 I already saw that you are a veteran. I love this game and root for it, especially now that it is dying. Your playstyle just reminds me of mine when I play infantry.
i actually love being heavy on open ground tbh, it's why I love northern Indar so much.. it's challenging because you are at a disadvantage, but that just means it's good practice trees and rock formations are your best friends when you're a heavy on open ground
