I disagree with your comment, but it's your opinion. He is remember over 40 years older than he first appeared with the band. He's a total legend in Britain. Superb bass player. He's keeping music alive.
Mc Solaar çà me ramène 40 ans en arrière...
This song has got me through some of the darkest times of my life, dealing with chronic pain and a life threatening illness. I love Peter’s tribute. I hope that if there is an afterlife Ian knows how much he and joy division are loved and appreciated to this day. Joy Division forever 🖤
@@davehammond8940thank you so much for your kind words. Unfortunately these diseases are chronic so they won’t go away but are slowly getting better. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well
Love 'em to death, since 1984. LOVE THEM. So I really don't mean to take the piss out of this song when I say how--every time I hear it--I just hear the simplest song ever recorded. Jesus, Hooky must mail this one in every night he has to play it.
He kinda was. He, Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner shared singing duties after Ian Curtis’ death. They initially toured the US doing it that way but somehow Bernard stuck as singer…guess he didn’t want to let go of the mic.
I prefer Peter Hook as a person but Bernard’s voice was perfect for New Order. New Order always breaks my heart because it’s a constant reminder that JD ended with Ian’s life.
