The satirical survivalist cockney climate prepper.

Because the world is clearly about to end, either from this apparent climate change or people freaking out about climate change!!

So what better than to prepare for the eventual breakdown of our societies and dysfunction of institutions, from all those climate crazy vegans.

I was enjoying your video until you made quite an ignorant comment about you not liking knives because you don't like violence. A knife is an everyday tool. It's that way of thinking that gives knives a bad name. Never expected it from somebody in the edc community

It’s odd that you first associate a knife, literally man’s first tool, with violence. Anyway, great review and some very nice gear selections sir.

Why would you even relate Knives to violence? That’s really odd! Knives are simply tools used for many things. Flashlight overkill in my opinion and you do have a Victorinox in your case which is not scary looking but can just as easily cut someone. I don’t agree with your mindset but you are definitely not from the U.S. most of our cases have Guns and Knives both are simply tools and neither cause violence on their own.

"Knife nuts?" "Not my lifestyle choice". What a load of rubbish. Knives are NOT just weapons you know!? Very poor.

Have you had any issues on a hot summer day with that specific color? Just ordered the same back but because of the fact that I live in a hot country with lots of sun all year round I’m a little worried that my things might boil in the bag or that the black color might fade with time…! Have you experienced any issues there?

There are plenty of practical uses for knives other than cutting people.

Take that ziplock bag with lighter and put in Swiss Army knife, compass, wet wipes molar blanket and small torch and you are done. Everything else is needles expense,dead weight and lots of useless bulk including that mexpedition pouch.

Would your choice to not carry a knife have something to do with the country you live in? I understand in the UK a knife is equivalent to a nuclear bomb
@martinshephard6317
@martinshephard6317 Год назад
Well as long as the blade isn’t longer than 3” and can’t be locked in place when opened you’re generally ok to carry it.. a nuclear bomb must be for personal use only and has to fit into a medium sized brief case.

Philosophy!? "My lifestyle choice". Good grief. STUPID comments like "I'm not into knives (and in the same sentence) "I'm not into violence" just perpetuate the myth that "knives are bad". At least you've got the sense to carry a decent SAK (Swiss Army Knife to all you knife nuts out there). A multitool like a Leatherman would be more use than your hairclips and lockpicks (but hey "I'm not in breaking and entering, its my lifestyle choice" - see what I did there? You carry burglar tools, you must be a burglar!? Just as I have knives so must be violent?) A great pouch, but you should have saved your money and bought a pencil case for your emergency stationery items. An EDC kit that doesn't really prepare you for much, but in an emergency at least you can wrap yourself in your Mylar blanket, and blow your whistle for help. I'd say light a fire with your Bic but the flints degrade over time so you might find it doesn't work when you need it. There's LOADS of EDC kit videos on here. Seriously, have a rethink on yours coz it's VERY Poor.

Where does the laptop fit? I am a college student and I have to carry laptop everywhere with me. My only concern about this bag is the laptop capacity. I got a 15.3 inch laptop which I always need with me. It'd be great if you can tell me if there is special pocket for laptops.
@cockneyclimateprepper1412
@cockneyclimateprepper1412 4 года назад
Hi Harry - thanks for your comment. You can normally keep a small/thin laptop in the compartment for bladder pack, which I show at 5:50 in the video. If it's a larger laptop (mine is also about 15" widescreen) I would suggest you keep it in the main compartment. You can put it up against the back, or at the very top if you can make a fairly flat surface for it. I would recommend you also keep the laptop in a laptop pouch as well, so it doesn't rub up against anything else in the main compartment. Also, if you're using this for everyday carry, keep in mind that it can get very heavy if you have folders, laptop and other stuff. The shoulder straps are comfortable but it may be a bit bulky/heavy as an EDC. Of course it depends how much you have to carry for college/university. Good luck and enjoy doing research for your new backpack. I also have a Vanquest Javelin 2.0, that is a sling back and I've been meaning to do a review on it for some time now. Subscribe to my channel and you'll get a notification when I upload the video :)

Very nice, I love my edc /molle pouch . I keep two power banks, two pens, flashlight, charger cord, notepad,pocket knife,sunglass attachment because I wear glasses, headphones and when I’m going out somewhere my vape batteries. These pouches can hold a lot of stuff. I’ve become a bit obsessed with them..😆

I used a rush 12 as my travel carry-on bag but found that it was a bit too small for my needs. I switched to the rush 24 and it has quite a bit more room. Very hard to beat the quality of 5.11 products

Yes, I agree. I starting using a Vanquest Javelin 3.0 for a while, but I find I can only use it as my EDC around town, it's not big enough for air (overnight) travel.
