This channel started with a conversion of a VW T5 taxi called ‘Its’ into our adventure camper. Hence, ItsAdventure.
Unfortunately Its came to an untimely end. But the adventures continue. Hiking, surfing, motorcycles, travel, gardening, dogs, beaches, days out and the odd gear review.
This channel is an attempt to share my ever changing hobbies and interests with you.
Hey @wherecurtwent glad it was of use bud. Took a flipping age to find the settings so figured it would help others get there faster by sharing. Do have a read through the comments as there are a bunch of folks that know way more than I do that have added some good points too. Thank you for taking the time to feedback, very much appreciated! Cheers Rich ;o )
Hey Nick, fuses blow because of a fault in the cable or appliance. Might be worth tracing the run to see if there is another short. Might be worth getting a tone tester to help trace it. Electric’s are a pain in the arse and take ages to sort. Best of luck!
Just stumbled along this video as im toying the idea of getting a T5 (once my range rover sells) and have just sold my single axle caravan to upgrade to a twin axle caravan in a few months. Ideally id also like the lwb transporter to convert to day van... so it was reassuring to see that the t5 coped well. What engine is in yours? I noticed yours was a manual also but ill be hoping to go for the 2.5 automatic. Regards Declan
Hey Declan. I had a 1.9 manual but it was remapped to 150bhp. 2.5 auto will be fine. Trick with twin axle is turning. They are for sure harder to turn and refuse to turn in the spot so I had to use a lot of revs to manoeuvre in tight spaces. LWB and long van are perfect on the motorway. Just not so great in the lanes of Cornwall by me. Cheers Rich ;o )
@ItsAdventure hello mate, thanks for getting back to me. I have towed a twin axle before for a friend and found it towed alot nicer than my single, reduced the pitching by half in my mondeo estate i had at the time and I maneuvered the twin onto the pitch quite well, although that was on grass so that probably went in my favour. I will miss the range rover for towing, I dont think anything else will compare but I just think the van would be a good edition plus converting to a day van will be fun. I wish I lived in Cornwall, im not jealous at all in the slightest 😂
@@declanhodson8863 ha ha. I can vouch for the move we made. Eleven years back we lived in Midlands. The difference being able to get to a choice of beaches in 20mins vs 3hrs to see the mud of the Severn estuary is massive! U know what tho, anyone can move house. Just a question of how far u want to go. Does mean we had no further need for our caravan. So it went couple of years back. The day van will be great. No 60mph limits. No car park hésiter barrier issues and with a van for those longer stays with a more relaxed pace….perfection! Cheers Rich ;o )
@ItsAdventure I thought so, your accent isn't devon/cornwall. I also used to live in the west midlands. Worcester in fact, but moved in the totally wrong direction. Now in the north east. My friend lives in Devon now though, he had the right idea 😂
Hey @tadasj.1152 originally Mrs B was going to use the studio to make ceramic art and functional pieces. But now she is going to use it for a sewing studio. Making clothes. I may commander it as a video studio though!?! We’ll see. Cheers Rich ;o )
Hi just saw your video as we’ve just recently got a caravan so i was wondering with your transporter with the tailgate if you can open it when hitched up? Thanks
Hey Ant. Yes, the back did open even when hitched. I only had an issue if the jockey was fully up. Happy caravaning. It’s fab fun. Personal fave is when you’re inside cosy and you hear rain pinging on the roof. Cheers Rich ;o )
@@ItsAdventure oh that’s great thanks for the info Yeh we did hire a motorhome and then lucky enough to hire a touring caravan which proved so much better for us with young boys and with the van combo it’s the perfect set up in my opinion And I completely agree on your personal fav of the rain !
Hey Angela, this was raw audio. I have had the mic a while but had been curious to know how much difference was made by using better audio cables. I was quite surprised myself by the results. Glad you liked it. Cheers Rich ;o )
For anyone in the UK try Panamoz, Cotswold cameras, Hdew. They all get better reviews than E-infinity, especially with regard to warranty repairs. Panamoz give a 3yr warranty on everything, plus they give a £50 discount for additional items purchased at the same time. So if you buy a camera and 2 lenses you get another £150 off. They also price match so if UK sellers are cheaper due to Sony sales/discounts they match it. Cotswold cameras offer a 3yr warranty which can be upgraded to 5yrs for £99 per order, so if you order a body and lenses it still only costs £99. Hdew give a 3yr warranty on bodies, but only 1 yr warranty on lenses i think.
im just planning to do a shed build, not so close to house, about 4 metres away, but question is do you need a permission to add/ connect to existing sewage pipe?
Hey AP, from my investigations, If you are connecting to the mains (i.e. outside your property) you will need permission from your water company. If you connect to the existing pipework inside your own property you do not. I checked with my water company before hand. Cheers Rich ;o )
Hey @AndrisPrikna, very kind of you to say ‘it looks like you know what to do’ as most of the time I really don’t! ;o ) Thing is, I will have a go at pretty much anything. It’s the best way to learn eh? Cheers Chap Rich ;o )
Thanks for this video I’m after a teleconvertor for my 70-200 GM how much did you pay for it if you don’t mind me asking? They are going for around £500 new. 3 weeks shipping isn’t too bad
Hey @mrwezbmx thanks man! I appreciate the feedback and will try to remember to adjust the volume some. Sorry for the shock there! Thanks for coming along! Cheers Rich ;o )
Hey @AndrisPrikna I searched out a bunch of versions and decided these (found on eBay) were the best for me. The top plate holes give the flexible mounting positions. Cheers Rich ;o )
Hey @xaviervelez8835 think of ‘Geeza’ as a replacement for ‘Dude’. So American: “He’s a cool Dude” = “British: He’s a top geeza.” Both are similarly antiquated, just like me! Cheers Rich ;o )
Hey @christianlawrence, for mobile shoots I’m rocking the Ulamzi X - Aircross. The tripod is super light and Fluid head works well. The F38 swapable plates with 1/4-20 threads that came with it though are useless. It’s a shame as the plates frustrate me so much I mostly use the fluid heat from my Manfroto Be-free instead. If you are UK, I hope you got to use e-infinity to save yourself some wedge!! Failing that, do have a look at Quidco as that will also save you cash! Cheers Rich ;o )
Thanks Rich. I will take a look. Yes have access to e-infinity in the uk. I was impressed with those ground screws you put in, need some of those for my project. Never seen them in the uk though. Cheers Chris 👍
@@ChristianLawrence had done a tonne of research for the right base & shed to use before I got started. The Ground Screws started in the US I think but managed to find a couple of places now make them in UK. They're tough to drive in but make to relatively easy to achieve a super accurate level to build onto. Cheers Rich ;o )
The instructions from Halls are useless it is ridiculous when you think how much they charge for their green houses it's a photocopy of a photo copy and nothing more than 18 pages of smudge there are plenty of alternative Greenhouses out there who provide accurate instruction for assembly my advice is buy one of them !
Oh Jim, your timing is incredible! I am just building out a replacement. This year I’ve had to work away since Jan so the whole veg plot & greenhouse got away from me. It will be back again for next growing season. This year though is something more in the line of construction. Will deffo be back to it soon. As for a great source for veg ideas, have a look at my mate Laurence’s business: SoulFarm. He’s just just down the road from me and has made a living from salad and veg crops. Cheers Rich ;o )
@@ItsAdventure Hello Rich. Your "building out a replacement", suggests the original is no longer with you. Did disaster strike? I've had a long running battle with mine just trying to keep it in one piece. Mine's not a 'Halls' by the way. Jim.
@@HomeGrownVeg Hey Jim, No disaster. Just no time! This 'work' malarkey keeps getting in the way of all the fun stuff. But back at the fun stuff for a while now! Having bolted the green house into the ground, It did quite well against the Cornish winds. Only had to replace 2 x panels from damage. Did double up on the glass clips though, which really helped! cheers Rich ;o )
Darn it. That’s a shame! A few years back I used a HK based company called eGlobalCentral until they stopped shipping to UK too. Someone must know a low cost camera company that’s ships to US!! If you do, let @chrisfetner332 know and help them out!! Best of luck Rich ;o )
Try Panamoz, they give a 3yr warranty. Plus they get much better reviews than E-infinity. I ordered a camera body from Panamoz last year. i ordered it on a friday night, they are closed on weekends, it was processed / shipped first thing on the monday morning and was with me in the UK at 3pm Tuesday afternoon. 🙂
Hey @@carlb401 , Looks good. Thx for recommendation! Price looks comparable too; especially taking your delivery experience into account. Do you know if they supply to US? Cheers Rich ;o )
@@ItsAdventure Yes Panamoz do. Currently we ship to the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Australia, and the United States. In their FAQ section they also state that should you be charged any additional import fees, they cover them. I think in the past people have been charged by couriers and Panamoz have refunded the fees once they have been shown the email etc with the fees.

may I ask what is shutter speed at? because the maxed out of the shutter speed on the gh6 video mode is 355? I always seen that the shutter speed should be doubled the frame rate. Would you be able to let me know?
Hey LR, I am a bit lazy that way just using the 180 rule. Saves the faf and one more thing to setup. So I set the shutter to 180deg which automatically returns double the frame rate. So in the 120 example gets 240 shutter. Cheers Rich ;o )
You should forget the idea of having shoulders where the handle goies into the head. It should be continous taper to prvent the head from going down the handle. the taper on the top, stopping the head from flying off the handle is created with a wedge.
U know I did look at those and nearly bought one. But then I remembered my garage and how it’s got so much damn stuff in there a log splitter won’t fit! Maybe a project or two just there for another vid?!? Many thanks Rich ;o )
Dude, no worries. It did my head in trying to find how to do this. So decided one weekend to knuckle down n read the manual over and over. 100’s of pages later I found it! And yes it is very well hidden for some reason! Just thought it may save everyone else the headache. Glad I could help! Cheers Rich ;o )
