This looks fun, I’m a new rider how can I join the races? What bike should I get?
@BTGCycling
@BTGCycling 8 дней назад
USA cycling has a great page here on how to get started racing: usacycling.org/get-started-racing As far as what bike to get, that largely comes down to budget, but many people, including myself, use a higher end aluminum frame for racing to reduce costs. Something like my Cannondale CAAD13, a Specialized Allez, or Trek Emonda ALR.

Crash crash crash! I’m David Wild the one being referred to with the mismatched socks who goes down either 2nd or 3rd right behind Justin. I got lucky by hitting some bodies first instead of the pavement right away. Actually not my footage but I got it from Kory (who’s still recovering 2 weeks later from some serious injuries unfortunately). That crash sucked. I’m glad it wasn’t worse! I had no exit and I just had to hit Justin in the torso or go left and cause a worse crash and probably hit him in the head! So I guess we did our best even though there was a bit too much elbow rubbing IMO right before that crash. I got lucky. Love the commentary and damn bro nice job podiuming and then finishing solid in p123!

Incredible race. Love the commentary, the full last three laps, and your kind words about our team and everyone involved! Greyson totally had me terrified and you said we were panicking…damn right we were😅! I totally did give it my all to pull Kolbe too and damn I wish I had more to give at the end to be up there with yall. But holy moly the speed of Nick from Good Speed was ferocious. We were like standing still when he passed! Way to race. Way to make it so close and be such a contender the whole series. Next series will be awesome for you I’m excited to root you on…but next year we battle again 😈

3:00 - The rider directly behind your guy in the shot was overlapping wheels and got wrecked. Bit of a weird one, your friend is already off the wheel when the dude chirps him so there isn't really any need to move much. Dude behind... dangerous to be that overlapped.

@BTGCycling
@BTGCycling Месяц назад
I don’t believe taking a single vo2max test is going to be beneficial for most people. From my perspective, it should be used to measure how much your performance has increased from training block to training block, year over year. I plan to do another in the future to see how much I can improve.

Great bike! I have the same one and am inspired by your upgrades! My only qualm with Cannondale is the sizing they offer. 48 to 51 is a larger jump and I was torn between the sizes. alas i opt'd for the 51 which is a bit too long for me. hoping this is my forever bike for now!

8:45 when I saw #509 moving up on the inside, I thought, Ok dude just back off before you hit the turn. But nope, he dove the corner and took out that rider. You can almost feel these moves behind you. And he dives again at 9:32....not saying he's the only rider diving turns, but it is an example of making these unnecessary moves that do not help him move up. You finished higher than he did without making those moves. It's not always in Cat 3 races, you see this at all levels, but the 3s are full of very strong guys with varied skill levels and experience. Nice riding out there.

I use also contis5000 for years, and they are amazing, you could put a 28 mm tire in the back and a 25 mm Tyre in the front. I ride that way, the wider the tire the more weight you get on your wheels, but also you ride more comfortable with wider tires and the wheels have to be as much light as possible, i use the Zipp Rims they are stiff and lightweight but expensive 800 Euros the set, wheels should weight max 1500 grams then you are way faster and quicker. My CAAD 10 weight 8 Kilos with the Zipp 30 Course rims. it's a rimmmbrake but im happy with that, thinking now to get me a new bike with disc brakes.
