I made notes . 1.Using LinkedIn for finding opportunities. 2.Resume to highlight relevant experience in writing. 3.Watch RU-vid videos and research interviewers. 4.Prepare for behavioral questions and specific writing assignments. 5. Learning from your collegues and importance of mentor in guidance. 6.Choosing internship best suited for you .

Amazing ideas come from the roots... Then grow... I'm a trucker, very smart but never with schooling because time passed before i saw the new world... I have amazing ideas in gaming... especially with regards to content creator's isolation and filtration per their discipline to teaching their community... I.e. Hey Yvonne, I have a very important question to ask - at times I see jobs opening in the market for applicants as UX and UI designers and specifically not as a UX writer or content designer. So those currently pursuing their career in writing like I am a creative copywriter, do they need to prepare themselves as per UI designers OR UX writer standards. Plz show some light and guidance

You are so awesome. You can find a career you love right after graduation. I would like to ask, are there any books I can read as a ux writer? I also like this profession, but I found that there seems to be no Chinese books or information.
Hi! Thanks for the comment. I’d say UX writing is still on the discovery phase in China. Here’s an article on it: uxcontent.com/content-design-in-china/ The article also shared that there are a few books from the west translated into Chinese. However, UX principles in China are quite different from the west, so it might not be as helpful.

I immensely enjoy how personal and casual your content is, but I also dig this approach. In particular, I admire how you and Loren tackled the subject of learning, interning, and interviewing through their processes. As someone who's between self-learning and being career-ready, this reaffirmed what all I've heard of other people's experiences in content design/UX writing and alleviated my imposter syndrome. This is so well done; I love hearing the stories of how other people broke into the field, as nobody has the same set path!

Design critiques can become toxic when feedback is not constructive or respectful. It's important to establish clear guidelines on HOW to provide feedback early on to avoid unfocused or toxic feedback. Designers, how are your crits typically?

I love this story! And you seem like a nice person with great sense o humor :). It's actually impressive that you work with language that's not your native language. I have a 1 year experience as UX designer in creative agency, but I believe UX writing is my niche and I've always had a passion for words so I want UX writing to be my part time job, but I want to write in my language, English grammar was always hard to learn for me no mater how hard I was trying. But I am Polish and Polish language is highly inflected language, so many things that are quite simple in English in Polish are like 'ok, now we need to spend two weeks thinking about verb forms'.
Thank you thank you! I feel the same way with my native tongue vs. English. Although I don’t think I would be able to do UX Writing in Chinese at all-the principles of design are quite different.
