THANKS !!!!!!!!! Just FABULOUS STUNNING and DEEP song and that face to face part is to die for !!!!!!!!!!! Their tour and obvious deepening bond has been such a magnificent pleasure to experience ☮☮💘💘💥💥
Thank you for this reaction! Tarja and Marko have been touring together lately and they have more tours planned together. Since Tarja was featured in this song, Marko promised to her that he'll come to sing with her in whatever she does next. This is the only new song from them together... so far. In the concerts they have been performing some old NW songs (Wish I Had an Angel, Dead to the World....), some covers (Phantom of the Opera...) and a few of Tarja's own songs (Dark Star and Dead Promises). It's never too late to learn more about Tarja's solo career😉 Let me tell you, it's amazing what that woman has done and achieved! She has released 5 rock albums and 6th one on the way (then plus all her other projects: Dark Christmas, classical music and electronic music project called the Outlanders.... and so on) I'll leave you some links if you are interested in hearing more of Tarja's solo stuff and what she has now done with Marko😊 Tarja and Marko performing live Dead to the World this year: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4hMo9fA3kCY.htmlsi=iKyzvydbSHxgbgdo Tarja and Marko performing Left on Mars this year (this is even better version than this music video, and you can see better their chemistry when they are singing together): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1X8r6Y8-k6o.htmlsi=ZFRhTuBpy5MJHtVO Tarja's own song called Victim of Ritual, live from Woodstock 2016: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GxDnhbGTJSs.htmlsi=WRTTQMR6oT52eeYd
This is a great song, but most of their other stuff is more striaght forward. The whole Alan Wake bit is just for the game, not normally part of their usual stuff. They have done music for the game studio several times and even appear as characters in the game universe.
Hey Bud - your story very similar to mine. Wished I was a rock guitarist and never got there because my Life took control of me. But I also just love PROPER music.
Imaginaerum has so many fantastic songs, but this may possibly be my favorite (at least tied for first), and it's practically never been performed live from what i can see...there is ONE fancam live version on youtube when you search...but i essentially got to hear it live at my first Nightwish concert in 2012, because i was beside the cracked open venue door and they played it for soundcheck
Dude I've listened to that song a million times, and everyone else has commented on it already. If I do more music, it'll be things I don't already know about.
Thanks for this! Glad to see one of my favorite songs get some recognition. I may be reading into the lyrics too much, but I like to think of this and "Ghost River" as mirrors to each other, GR being viewed as the river trying to take the narrator violently and non willingly. RC as the same river, but the narrator sees it as a welcome, peaceful rest. I'll be sticking around to see/hear more from you.
👍Nice what you said about Nightwish. Audio-wise,you should always stream the original audio directly and use headphones yourself. People can have the wrong impression if you stream bad audio about the band. That said ,there is discussion with this song, about the balance of the vocals in this song and strangely enough, they are very clear in your video. The lyrics and video are great, i personnely, have some problems witht he music production in general, but hey, i hope we can experience this live in the future ,it will be a banger.🤘
I saw them for the first time in the US in 2022. Amazing show even if it was on a smaller scale. Sad that they cannot achieve their due recognition in this country. This is a big part of the mission for the NWA. Spread the word and grow the love for this powerful, beautiful, and thought provoking musical genre. This is the last of the trilogy. The next one may move in a different direction. I think I will check out your books. They look interesting. I salute you on this Memorial weekend.👍👍 Thank you very much. 🙏🙏
I like the Miss Melody stories. And religion is both real, and a reality beyond reality. If you're writing good stories, it can't help but show up. It showed up honestly here, and that's all anyone can ask.
Profound and beautiful song both in message and performance. Breakdown is nice and powerful! I think Jukka feels too much pressure to live up to Marko. He stated previously he is there to play bass, lol. This is supposed to be the third and final phase of the human / nature theme.
What do you mean? There are some great metal riffs in this song, and the break and chorus after that are very clearly metal. Only the vocals in this one were not heavy but that's what Nightwish does. Floor has said that the next album will be heavy, so maybe you shouldn't judge it just by one song.
Yeah I think you're right, those two songs I listen to are enough to make me not listen to any of the other songs maybe I should go back and revisit I've been a nightwish fan for a very long time just not happy with the departure of some of the cast its changed the dynamic.
Nailed it in one @stpfs9281. Never tried doing this before, and it sounded alright from my end. But clearly there's room for improvement if I do this again. Time to learn more skills! :)
Not sure how video sound was picked up, and it likely sounded ok listening, but the recorded sound was not good at times. Maybe modified along the way by some processing or compression software. Interesting that Floor's voice was quite clear, but the background music and vocals were very impacted
2 before Albums and this new one are a Trilogy sharing a theme of Evolution, so it makes sense that they continue it in a one or other form. Surely there are also individual songs presenting something totally different. Anyhow, good reaction and good intro explaining of your History with NW.
I saw this twice in my RU-vid feed, but I deliberately ignored it. I thought it was going to be a sad documentary. I didn't want to hear that story *again* . But this morning, I was scrolling around for things to listen to when I was washing dishes, when I accidentally clicked this by mistake. Because my hand was wet. Glad to discover it is fiction, and completely unrelated to that. Good story.
This is very common. People pray for help from God and when help is given, they determine it must have been random chance and no prayers have been answered and no help given. I can definitely understand why people do this, especially when by all appearances, that is exactly what it was, serendipity. Have faith my friends.
