The current political situation of the region of Ireland called "Northern Ireland" by the UK government, seems almost certain to be not the best. "Northern Ireland" almost certainly should either be independent or politically associated with Ireland before Great Britain and NOT the other way around. "Northern Ireland" isn't even that small, it has a larger area than the entire island of Cyprus, which itself is split into two independent countries.
