I just discovered my Irish great, great grandmother (Margaret Berry)and my great grandmother (Bridget) came to Scotland in 1881 from Colmcille, Co Longford . The latter worked, starting as a 17 year old, in the local thread mill, gave birth to 8 children of which only one survived childhood (my grandad) and died in 1950. Hard life.
I have a question if somebody will get back to me, what if my uncles last name was different than mine, will it matter to the law if they don’t have the same last name as me even tho it’s my child
Thanks for your question! The last name typically doesn’t affect legal relationships, as what matters more to the law is the actual biological or legal connection between family members, not necessarily the surname. If you’re concerned about something specific, it might be helpful to consult with a legal professional to get advice for your situation. Hope that helps!
I found out I have some Jewish Ashkenazi DNA through my connection to Eastern Europe. Nevertheless, I hope Filipinos with substantial Jewish background do not use these findings to apply for right of return to Israel. It is one thing to honor roots of those following the Torah in antiquity but it is another to have any association with those who have disregarded the Torah's teachings about stealing from and killing Palestinians as they are doing lately by the tens of thousands in Gaza and even Lebanon. Your ancestors have always considered themselves as being in a divinely decreed exile UNTIL the coming of the Messiah (return if you sre Christian) . It is only then that your ancestors believed the Jews could return en masse to Israel. The current state was founded by seculat atheist non observant Jews.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The Alien and Sedition Acts were definitely a controversial part of U.S. history. It’s always interesting to see how past laws are brought up in modern political conversations. It’s important to stay informed and understand the historical context when these topics come up. Thanks again for engaging with the content!
Free NC newspapers at our library Relative killed a bald eagle because it was eating their pigs and chickens Relative killed a 4’ 8” rattlesnake Lightening struck a relatives house Mules ran away and damaged the wagon Ancestors died of consumption Ancestor left a baby alone by the fireplace and embers popped out and burned up the child Never would have known any of this Interesting but sad
I'm Canadian. My father's mother (my grandmother) Was a McQuillan from County Antrim. She came to Canada in 1898 at age 14 and eventually married a Farley. His ancestor's were from County Armagh and emigrated to Canada with a brother in 1795. They were 20 and 18 respectively. Apparently we were not Irish, having the Church Of England as a religion and being a part of Cromwell's relocation activity. My genealogy research suggests we originally came from NW England. My records research on the Irish side stated there was nothing available after searching for 2 months. My Irish genealogist said Cromwell burned most of the churches and all records were lost. I've never been able to figure out the Irish connection on my father's side, only that we came from a small city called Tandragee in County Armagh. Those records came from Canadian census documents and ship passenger lists.
Wow, what an incredible family history you’ve uncovered! It’s amazing how your ancestors traveled from County Armagh and County Antrim all the way to Canada. The Cromwellian period did lead to a lot of record destruction, which can definitely make Irish genealogy tricky, but it sounds like you’ve already done a lot of impressive work with the census documents and ship passenger lists. Even though the Irish records are scarce, you’re piecing together an amazing story! Keep going-sometimes, new sources pop up when you least expect them. Thanks so much for sharing your journey!
My grandfather on my mother’s side came from Scotland in the 1880s and his surname was Watson. I found his parents in Scotland so he was definitely Scottish. Watson is not a typical Scottish name.
If a woman converted to the jewish religion So 1 year later, she gives birth to a baby boy .. Is the baby jewish now But what if his mom converted to christianity His her baby still jewish
Do y’all understand Genesis chapter 10, the descendants of Japheth and the nations of Gentiles? Hebrews were big on this and would never just adopt those nations names. Also u saying that how they got to Europe is skeptical, that in it self tells u something is off. If u want to know the truth u have to read an actual Bible and not the newer revised version and definitely not the online bibles because they have corrupted them all and removed certain key information from the verses to lead you astray.
