43:37 so it was this white light Hologram i was thinking of during watching the video i think Yt channel The Thought emporium who have made video on similar topic but he used readymade photo sensitive glass ! He was talking about Siliver based photosensitive chemical right?
Amazing tutorial, it at least let me know that I can keep using Meshroom and save money for better PC hardware. Even though 3DF Zephyr's price is still tempting.
Such a wonderfully detailed and thorough description of your process. You once again have demonstrated German commitment to quality. Unfortunately after watching the process I have decided that I am not equipped to take on DCG hologram production, but I have a new appreciation of how much these final products are truly worth. Great work!
Hands down one of the most beautiful tutorials I have ever seen. Will this work with organic shapes - i want to do a 3d print of my dog ? Any suggestions ? Thank you :)
hi, thanks for your reply. dogs are notoriously difficult to 3d scan. i have done it before. for that i would recommend a hand 3d scanner. you should search for something like artec 3d scan. once you have the file 3d printing is easy. any 3d printing company can do it, i always like to use shapeways
@@Holocreators thank you so much. Unfortunately the prices of this company are way way way out of my budget - i mean 13 - 14 K euro. Thats spicy. Thank you and all the best <3
Here's what I've learned after listening to all the hype about how 3D scan/print will revolutionize the parts making and availability world: 1. If you only need one or two small things forget about it, nobody wants to scan/print your stupid shit when they could be charging thousands to a larger scale customer 2. If they are interested your small crap will be the last thing on their list of things to get done 3. If you're not near them then you have to pay to ship your stuff and chances are that even in big cities you're not near anyone who knows what they're doing 4. The risk of loss, breakage and lack of clear understanding of what you want/need that would come from an in-person consult are all very real cost considerations 5. By the time you pay for your scan/print and all the BS to make it happen you've paid as much or more than just buying it new if that's what you're trying to avoid My overall impression is that this 3D is only done by giant companies for large companies or is a hobby for geeks trying to make some early money. However if you want to run a small business with tight time lines and a need for good follow up you'd better just buy your own 3D scanning and printing equipment. You can expect that to be as complicated if not more so than whatever business you're already in. Final thought is that 3D everything is no better than traditional mold, dye, buck and other traditional duplication processes. If you know a good local craftsman you're better off supporting him than chasing down geeks or corporate suits who have no intention of meeting the needs of someone on a tight budget. The 3D world is not a good fit for individual or small commercial makers of practical objects and probably won't be for another decade or so.
i agree with some of the things you mentioned. its always difficult to meet all the demands of people on a tight budget. but its a fun hobby and I recommend to get into it. have a wonderful day.
What's a patch? NURBS have different types of control handles right? Do they have different names for different manipulation types i.e. like simple points or handles like typical bazier curve?
Svwann, this series of videos has been, and continues to be my go to for scanning and software tips and tricks. Hope things are going well for you. 😊🇨🇦
you could use a microcontroler and some kind of hall effect sensor to measure the rotational speed of the table and turn on and of the strobe light at the correct frequency
BEST 3D free tutorial as of the date of my post. How do I know? I've been searching this subject all Fking day lol. dozens of tutorials. When I take my work to the professional level. These are the guys, I'm going to call. Thank you so much for getting right to the good stuff. HAPPY TO SUBSCRIBE!
Ok so I love this video and I wanna do this, however I cant find a decent app that allows me to 3d scan on my phone. so does anyone have a recommendation?
I have a question. Is the fact that a recording can be seen even in open light only a function of placing the film between the object and the laser light? If the laser beam projects the object and the film separately, in a triangular arrangement, will the recording only appear as a result of the laser light? Can the c-rt20 holographic film, which can be ordered, record laser light of any color at the same time, thus creating a colored hologram, or are there separate monochrome films that can only be exposed under the influence of a laser? When making a hologram, are we allowed to use lenses to guide the laser or do they only worsen the coherence? I noticed in the hologram kit that there is no lens on the red laser, that's why I'm asking. I also observed that the three lasers are not physically tuned exactly to one axis, only approximately. In this case, doesn't it happen that we get three offset images on the disc on the blue green red channel? It doesn't fit in my head. thank you very much
many questions. in my video this is a white light hologram. what you are also mentioning is a transmission hologram which needs to be illuminated by a laser. i dont know about the crt 120 recording film. when you want to do full color holography you do indeed need 3 perfectly alligned lasers
Knowing your love for holography, Id love to see an EOTech holographic sight CT scanned! I love that they put a transmissive hologram in such a small package, and would love to replicate it in the home lab one day
@@Holocreators It's a great video. It's always hard when explaining graphics and other complex concepts to find the right balance between interesting, useful, and digestable. You did a good job.
Hi Swann, I would like to know if I can use that short 1-minute video of how holograms are made that you posted on your other channel, I will edit it in my language and post it on my channel. I can?
Cover the glass grinding machine and suck the air out, that glass will never leave your body once it is inside (although it can work its way through it if the piece is big enough)
This video really makes me want to try DCG but at at the same time makes me wonder if its worth the risk, seeing that it should be handled almost like anthrax. Regardless, thank you for sharing all that knowledge, not many do that to such extent and quality, might as well build some glove boxes so I can make such beautiful holograms, and maybe also do other kind of experiments that can make use of a glove box.
