@@TheVarietyChannel2008I think you’re referring to Hazel, the human who Junior spread a rumor that she made Bob disappear. Yeah, I found her annoying too
Yay! We finally 🙏 have a full 🙏 live 🙏 show 🙏 of God Made You Special 🙏 2008 live 🙏 show 🙏. I went 😎 there 😍 on November 7th, 2008, 4:00 pm 😎 show 😎 with my dad 👨 and I definitely 😎 had a good 😎 time 🎶. Bob the Tomato 🍅 and Larry the Cucumber 🥒 were my favorite 😍 characters 😘 from VeggieTales ever 😘. 💙 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now that was fantastic. Aside from that child crying during Promised Land and A Friend is a Friend, this was a great show. I love the Weird-O-Meter song and also the inclusion of Rumor Weed too.
AAAAAAAAGGGHH WEIRD-O-METER IS SO CATCHY!! And it’s much more fleshed out than I expected. Also John sounds exactly like Phil?? I’m not entirely sure it’s him the whole time. Congrats on finding this, so exciting.
I saw the show as a kid, an I distinctly remember there being a point where Bob sounded like he was voiced by someone else. I’m thinking Phil’s contract was renewed during the tour, and it may have been updated with his voice at some point.
I had a small feeling that they didn’t have any intentions to cancel silly songs with Larry since it’s one of the major staples to the show, so I kinda feel that petition was a little unnecessary, but then again, it’s probably a good thing to have this episode as a reminder that they didn’t have any plans on canceling it anytime soon.
It always fascinates me what they did and didn't censor for "VeggieTales on TV." For example, I checked the old tapes and I'm sure they didn't remove Dave declaring that God would help him defeat Goliath, but they DID hack and slash Bob's speech about the children of God to the point where it doesn't say anything meaningful. The children of God. -The Bible says that the Israelites were God's chosen people. God led then through the desert, he helped them walk across the Red Sea, and whenever they went into battle, God was there with them- They had always known that if God was on their side, no one would stand against them, but King Saul and his men were so scared of big tall Goliath, -they forgot that God was even bigger.- Like Tim said, what it ultimately comes down to is that NBC was not afraid of acknowledging Christianity in their kids shows. They just didn't want to assume the AUDIENCE was Christian, nor pressure them to be Christian. God made YOU special? He loves YOU very much? That sounds like a threat.
