I’m so confused. I have a dresser drawer that keeps sliding open on its own, so I followed this video, essentially “pushing” the slides up a bit, and now it’s worse than before… what gives?
This video was great! I had a drawer that refused to stay closed. So many videos about remedying that problem said the solution was to install a magnet, which sounded ridiculous. After I watched your video, I reset the slides and now the drawer stays closed.
I think the furniture sags down with time, making the drawers point down too - and then they open. By lifting and readjusting the slider, you compensate that and the problem is gone
Great stuff. My desk drawer was just creeping open a quarter inch.I merely removed the middle screws and loosened the end screws. By moving the guide ends alone I was able to get what I needed. I then tightened the end screws to avoid movement and replaced the middle screws and I was good to go. Thank you.
i put a tire in the back of the seat, it keeps it from sliding all the way back into the back seat. just find a dump tire on the road and put it in the back, adjust the seat belt , so you can still use it. i almost had 3 wrecks trying to get home, when the thing slide all the way back , the sun was shining brightly and no where to pull over and i am short very short, and could barely rich the pedals. tis works for me, i am disabled, it has now a 13 inch tire resting in back of my seat.
