Thanks. I was struggling a bit with moral absolutism and realised that morality doesn't need to be objective for me to be a good person. I need to be a good person because of my innate desire to be good to other people. That is in fact a "good enough" reason to do good things. :)) This show really is a gem, I keep coming back to it and still learn newer things every time.

Respectfully, I disagree. Guilt is not in fact useful. That is a human construction based on... Remorse is useful. Regretting one's decisions is valid in that it is between "you" and you. I used to teach writing units on this topic. Sure, guilt will keep you from stealing someone's purse because that activity is forbidden by consensus reality, but that notion is defined by "the other." Aren't we here to awaken from the illusion of separateness? Having said that, the separateness that we seem to perceive is very "real" in terms of "mind stuff." Guilt exists to make one "behave," not that behaving is not useful and valid when and if it is. Stealing another's purse is "wrong," Golden Rule and all that, which I find to be the only "valid rule" in this particular iteration of the Old Testament. All of this stuff derives from what everyone did and did not get this time around from their primary caregivers because... And so on.

Craving for knowledge makes you identify with your mind, and hence more suffering. Thats why philosophers who spends the whole life thinking to find the meaning of life speak more about suffering. The key is to stop thinking and start paying attention to current reality.

Yes! Many times working on social anxiety can be more about building self-esteem instead of curing a phobia.
