Man, this is SO COOL!!! BTW, I lost it when you pulled out the "Dazed and Confused" line "Man, I saw this, two for one, right next to the sea monkeys" You just gained a new subscriber. That old dragster is SO COOL!!! I even showed it to my wife, but man, you need to put some speed parts in the old nailhead, she needs a cam and some real carbs, and it might have just been the audio on the video, but she sounds like the ignition is breaking up on hard accell... That thing needs to smoke the baloney's the length of the strip like the old days....
Thanks 👍. It's just a car I built more of as a display. It's not safe at speed, the tires are 70 years old! I want to put 6x2s on it someday. The carb on it was junk so it wasn't running very good.
A complete waste of time! Shows nothing of hooking the filler hose in the front tank ! Shows the easy shit not the hard shit big fucking waste of my time!

Great video, I've been doing mine for the past few years, unfortunately I bought a used vehicle with some minor surface rust. Luckily it's been keeping it in check. Every year I still find a area that I overlooked.
Iv'e been going to car shows and swap meets since 1970. Never entered any of my builds. Too many twitchy butt-holes. Back then they sort of knew what they were doing. Today they are butt-holes that don't know how to run a show. I had a 64 SS Impala that I put a mild performance cam and new hydraulic lifters in a stock 327. It kept over heating and I never did figure out what was up with it. It ran great, sounded perfect, timing was dead nuts, boiled out the block twice, had the radiator rebuild, changed thermostats 3 times. I look back and think about those shitty stock exhaust manifolds. Maybe it just needed headers for better air flow to fit the cam.
i have a very similar process and am due to spray again before winter. Normally ill touch up with the spray cans when i see them onsale and then hit the high traffic spots. Can i ask what psi you run your compressor at when spraying? Ill probably get under there this weekend and do mine again for the season.
I spray it at 80 psi. I liberally reapply to every car every year no matter what it looks like. I usually use about 3 quarts on cars and 4-6 quarts on large trucks. That being said I spray everything heavily, except for the exhaust, engine, and brakes.
Why don't we just agree that people use both pronunciations of Willys. Does it really bother you that much? John Willys pronounced his name "Willis", but GIs and most people since have referred to them as "Willeez" so unless you want to tell everyone since 1945 they are wrong, I'd say get over it.
Good stuff - but I wish Blaster would come out with a black version. For now, I’m mixing in graphite powder - but it would be nice to have it right out of the bucket. I also like to keep a few aerosol cans around for touch up. So - I have Fluid Film Black and New Hampshire Oil Black cans until Blaster catches up with Surface Shield Black.
Good stuff there, The shop won't buy us that stuff, they will get us 3m cavity wax and I always coat my repair sections with. Thanks for the video Josh.
Since there is new painting involved the cavity wax is easier to deal with because it doesn't mist everywhere. FF would be a nightmare inside a body shop.
Great idea cuz my 94 Ford F-150 143,300 mi on the clockcruise control has not been working, and I do have the factory recall harness but I forgot to check to see if I got the factory brake light peace or if it's been replaced now I got to check it out and just go ahead and get one from my O'Reilly store like you just did in your video see if that helps my views on my fuse in my fuse panel is good and everything else that's got to be something like that thanks for the video
I have some of both products to spray on various vehicles. One is 5yrs old, rest are 10+, and this will be first time for all of them. Wanting to use this to stabilize and prevent further rusting until I can finish repairs for the rockers and/or paint the frames. One question I have, does lanolin affect the ability to weld or paint surfaces at later time? I see you can just wipe it off, but wondering if it has any side effects like silicone products causing fish eye in paint. Great video!
It will absolutely make it difficult to paint later. The stuff creeps everywhere and doesn't stop. I will bleed out from seams no matter how much you try to clean it out you'll probably have problems. When I said it wipes off easily I mean off of painted surfaces. You'd be better to fix the rockers now, and paint the frame flat black then spray. It will stick like crazy to flat paint. I do all my truck restos that way. I fix the truck first and paint the body, I epoxy prime and flat black the chassis, then spray the entire underside last with FF.
There were many V8 engines before Ford, but mainly in more expensive luxury cars. Ford produced one of the first affordable V8 cars starting with the 1932 model. In the 1920s and early 1930s Henry Ford wanted to produce cars the working man could afford. The Great Depression put many expensive car manufacturers out of business.
Again I appreciate this Video, Not Enough people are Aware of this maintenance, here in Toledo most people have no idea why or what the point is and Idiotic Mechanics dont like the stuff under there and I even had a Muffler shop refuse to touch my Truck once because they didnt have an Idea what the stuff was and they insisted it might catch on fire from welding. So no wonder all the cars here are Junk. Ohio needs a class action lawsuit for excessive road salt usage.
I bought a 5 of NH oil a few years ago it has a Black Carbon tint added to it. You can also get it in clear. And it has a cherry scent to it. It eventually dries up some weeks and months later turning into a thicker coating, it isn't terrible but it is pricy. Next im just gonna maybe go with Amsoil HD. It sprays from an Aerosol can, and turns into a waxy thicker substance that supposedly last longer than these. Im yet to see. Ill test that. If all else fails used Tranny fluid works wonders😮😂 #Toledo snow plow life😂😂😂😂
I just put an old AFB carburetor on it that morning to get it running. The carb isn't tuned and needs to be rebuilt. It's just for fun, it's not a competitive race car.
Man I'd LOVE to bring my 1965 Comet that I've built to be a clone of a B/S car. It has some new tech and nitrous on it, but it could be taken out or not used..that wld be alot of fun!!

Afrer reading the comments I have come to a conclusion. Most people agree that the culprit of the situation was wrong. However, no one is willing to stand up and band together to stop such things from happening again. "Let somebody else handle it" seems to be the American way of dealing with it. Nobody sticks together for the good of all. But like the blacks, antifa, and LGBTQ who does stick together, they get noticed and get things done. Notice how they practically own this country now? Lazy is not the way to live.
I mean, I'm not in a war with Carlisle and people conflated this to all kinds of other things. Bottom line is, I think the gate guy was wrong, the traffic sucked, my truck overheated, and it was a mess. Does all that point to American problems as a whole? I don't think so, the video isn't about special interest groups destroying America with their nonsense.
@QuickSpeedShop It's just that it fits in with the rhetoric of the country. People not allowing things that they should. This is, or at least was, a free country where all we're welcome. But now you have to go by rules that should never be in place. People get very upset over the way you were treated because it was not fair nor right.

@@QuickSpeedShop oh I remember they had special roll cages to put the tire in to add air So not if rather when one of them blew apart It would just jump off the ground make a lot of dust and change the shape of the cage depending on the size of the tire
I think "inflate" the tire sounds better than "blow up" the tire........lol Last summer a buddy was over-inflating a tire for his dirt modified, to seat the bead. The bead broke off the alu. wheel and hit his forearm. NOT pretty. Broke in several places. I have a 1953 Yale forklift with the lock ring front wheels. I use a clip on tire chuck and stay away when adding air to them. Be careful.

So in reference to what the other guy said in a nutshell because he must have deleted the comments... He said to stop doing Will It Run videos, because it's copy cat, boring, been done to death, etc. I responded, "Sorry, I need to do thumbnails and titles that the YT algorithm pushes, that's just how it works". I wanted to do a video on my 1929 Ford AA tow truck running and driving, but no one is searching for that and no one will watch if I title it as such. Therefore, the Will it Run title! I have a good variety of videos going, recently 2 full build projects, C10 and Daytona clone, Harbor Freight tool review, event coverage and more. Sorry I had to put in a boring will it run. I spend 20-30 hrs a week making FREE content for people to watch, its expensive! I buy cars, tools, parts, etc all out of my pocket. I don't just make content to make content it has to be successful or I will not be able to afford to do it for you all to watch, again, for FREE! Been doing 2 videos a week for over 6 years. That's over 900 videos! That's a lot of ideas and everyone isn't going to like it all. Oh well, I can't make everyone happy all the time. Once again, content is not free! I'm sorry ads or sponsors are boring or annoying, but no one expects you to work your job for free, don't expect people to run YT channels for free.
