My work is the rapid prototyping and photorealistic visualization of objects. I use various design tools for creating 3D models, bitmap and vector graphics. On this channel you will not see: How to create a super design, 10 ways to design an awesome poster, 10 tips for cool logo design, 10 best design tools etc... On this channel you can see the implementation of some typical design tasks.
I am currently based in Germany, Berlin. I am always open for questions and suggestions.
@@WalterRiedinger What CAD would you recommend? I have a copy of viacad 7 pro that I bought for 20$... I was hoping to learn it well and then consider upgrading to shark 14.. it's less expensive in that case than buying, say, rhino. Your modeling videos in it really make it look like a capable program
@@RagedContinuum The problem is that via/SharkCAD has not developed for many years. Why train a horse that will die soon? Therefore, I would choose something standard or forward-looking. It depends on your tasks. You have to determine for what purpose you need it and how long you plan to use it. CAD is usually expensive and difficult. In low price segment, I like Fusion360 for engineering or Plasticity for design, visualisation or 3d druck.
Damn! Sorry but i do not get the logic of exporting the height map along Y. I get the giant file - but actual object imaje is just a small part of it. ANd NOWHERE is any info of how to adjust it! This is why the 3DC is not a standart - no info!
It is very strange, an amazing channel that is useful and provides distinguished content, but it does not receive much admiration. I consider it a hidden treasure. What is the real reason? This also happens to me, and I do not find a reason for it.
They cannot be compared. Milo is for realtime rendering like a game engine. Keyshot is for final rendering of video and images. Two different technologies.
Thanks for the question. To form the main shape of the bottle, you certainly can use lathe feature. But the handle is not round and curved. For this shape, the "path extrusion" technique is better suited. I decided to do otherwise. Probably in this case it was faster. 🙂
@@WalterRiedinger silo rules Its extremely user friendly, and silo is a great tool for learning the basics of polygon modeling. Learning silo first helped me finally begin to grasp blender. Ill will forever be grateful for nevercenter for creating such a top notch polygon modeler
You should narrate this so we don't have to pause and rewind every two seconds to find what you just pressed. And cut the music. It's not adding anything.
Could you please make video on 3D modeling on BLENDER please....most of the 3D artist use blender .. please it's my request..i ll be your daily video viewer if videos will be on blender software and
Thank you for your comment. 1. In RU-vid, there is already a huge number of BLENDER videos. 2. I use only the main modeling tools that are available in every polygonal modeler.
I rarely used SubDiv modelers. Most S-Div software is too difficult for infrequent use. But Silo is a program that can be learned in just one day. And I plan to use this type of 3D modeling more.
Awesome, I never used the two point revolve tool. Such a nice tool. Have to say. ViaCad just amazes me. Even with the few bugs it has here and there. I am so stoked I bought this software. Now I can really understand how you use these features. Took a little while. Have a good one Walter.
I am finally getting Viacad really dialed in. Took me quite a bit of practice and testing. Now when I watch your videos, They make so much sense. Thanks for showing how you use this program. Big smiles Walter.
Because this is mockup. The mockup should look good on a light & dark background, with light & dark artworks. Therefore, for each layer, I make a separate lighting, which can be flexibly adjusted directly into photoshop.
Great tutorial ! Btw, at 6:15 are you using same duplicated model as glass for droplets effect? PS. Is it possible to get same result using "geometry editor" to apply on single face, instead of copied whole model?
