Well technically this wasn’t really a horn show cause I’m the cabs of ALL BNSF Gevos has a Horn sequencer button, which Causes the horn to blow by itself in a pattern that resembles something called a “crossing sequence” which is (all Railfans know this) 4 long blasts, 1 short, And 1 Final Long. So this is more like 5 crossing sequences in a quiet zone then a hornshow in a quiet zone, but hey, who am I to judge that? Idc what you call it, I’m just saying
Yea This town and San Diego have people complaining about train horns because they think it’s too distracting and they mostly don’t like if a night train walks them up like the polar express I know it’s bad for some old couple of people but they have to understand that railfans like us are out there trying to catch these mighty machines and they have to understand we won’t horn shows for are channels and other stuff because if a train gose by silitley when we’re out there it can be kind of boring with no horn show At least this BNSF noticed you out there and gave some horn action for you even though bad people were probably complaining about the horn too but they have to understand we won’t horn shows Like someone like me likes horns and whistle I don’t get mad a trains whstleing

The engineer isn't blowing the horn, it's a stuck horn sequencer. It's a device the blows the horn in sequence automatically if the engineer needs to focus on the throttles. It's rare, but they do get stuck on like this.
I love the “He Blew it because The Ditch Light was OUT” or “He had a Light OUT so he had to Blow the Horn”… How in the fuck did the Engineer possibly know the Light was OUT in Front of the Locomotive? It’s not like he can see it 🤣
