We are Adrian, Bec, Laila, Lennox & Jynx & this is our life! We left our 'normal' lives in Newcastle NSW to hit the road full time in March 2022 and we have never looked back! With no home to return to, we are on the look-out for somewhere special to call home, whenever it is we decide to stop travelling.
We travel in our 2021 Land Cruiser Troop carrier 'Dusty Outback' and our 2022 22ft Essential Highlander off-road caravan 'Mia Outback'. (We chose the name Dusty for the troopy then the kids chose Mia's first name and their surname Outback haha). We love our set up, however, Bec would DEFINITELY prefer a car with back doors for the kids and Jynx to get in. (In fact, if anyone wants to cut in a third door for us please do haha). And the caravan is awesome with plenty of room for us to live together and strong enough to take us to the tip!
We have no plans other than going where ever the wind blows us so if you want to follow on and see where we go and what we do subscribe!
Thanks for watching! Troopy tows the van like a champion. It has a large payload and a decent rear axle capacity, you still need a gvm/GCM upgrade if you’re going to tow a big van and kit the Troopy out!
Nice rig. Only one comment. I would have your solar installer reinstall the panels so that they have some circulation around them. The way they are installed they may heat up and their performance will degrade.
What sort of power draw are you guys getting on the different air con modes? Added it to our van on order, not seen many people with it yet. Van looks great!
That's your dad? You lucky fella, missus like that, kids like that, dad like that, Troopie like that? Dude, there must be something you can sell to get the auto conversion done! Very sage choice of upgrades man! (PS, I sold the house to do the auto...actually! 😆) Does your dad do commercial work...he looks like he knows his stuff!
