What i find funny is that the US team wore Descente gear. Descente being a Japanese ski/bike outwear maker. Can anyone now even dream of stepping into Nike territory. '86 Nike were still upcomers, those were the early years of just do it and air Jordan
I agree. But Robinson is always injured. He's basically the center version of Kawhi at this point 😂 Kat definitely allows that 2 big look with Robinson against certain big lineups, without having wonky spacing. I think the Knicks need Robinson when going against teams like Milwaukee and 76ers.
@Hollisty that is a strong statement. I need to go back and check. Maybe you have a point. I know that this trade doesn't make the team better. But hopefully I'm wrong.
Bro really turned into a lock down defender!! Goes to show you it’s all about effort! These stars like Booker, KD, Kyrie, Luka, Steph. Don’t play defense and don’t even try. We need to start calling these players out!
Hauser doesn’t even have a fraction of the offensive responsibilities that those guys have. Even then Book plays defense, KD has been a good defender since 2015 (especially considering he tore his Achilles and he’s 35, Kyrie and Luka are suspect but they both showed in the playoffs that they can lock in and be good defenders when need be. And Steph hasn’t been a liability on defense since 2016. Steph curry is actually a decent defender.
The difference here, 1995 Shaq, versus Millennial Shaq is that they weren’t letting him get away with all the offensive fouls and traveling. Once Jordan retired, they needed somebody to carry the NBA. Kobe wanted it, but without giving Shaq free rein on the court, it wasn’t gonna happen, hence the court was like Hamsterdam for him.
I remember this game. despite the highlight dunk this was not the greatest performance by Arvydas and USA won this game by 1 point . 2 years later in the Soul Olympics he showed his true dominance.
