Weird, whose child was it? The mother is certain but. Okay, revenge in such a scenario (and usually) is moot. Character of the character. Be certain it's to do with you before you cause the revenge or you just cause an action to be avenged. Lastly, based on the dynamics of old girl what guy wants to be part of that cluster in the first place. The struggling writer and the guy who cheats are lost and should have figured out to have a family with this woman means regular engagement with a monster in law. I think the moral of the story is no revenge needed. Character. Because such stories exist assume we are humans think it is important for the wronged , not so much the public, to see just correction in a way that correlates to the trespass (depends on the situation). Old girl needed a clear break from bad for it to work, not impossible but. Character. Lastly, You cross the line when wishing bad on a child.
Hereditary would have been a great movie even without the paranormal elements. That's why we love it so much. And also because how subtle and impactful it is all at once.
This was the last time I trusted Rotten tomatoes ratings or Cannes nominations. The entire movie you're waiting for something interesting to happen and it never happens. You hope for the incoherent plot to fall into place but it never does. It's a painfully underwhelming movie and you feel like cheated afterwards. Fuck everyone who was involved in making this piece of pretentious crap.
Has anyone considered that Susan is Ray. She killed Edward's wife and child . That is what she realizes at the restaurant. When Tony kills Ray in the novel, the old Edward dies.

The single most terrifying, unnerving, disturbing, and unsettling film l have ever seen. But in addition to all that, l find in it a very horrifying metaphor for the narcissistic, controlling, manipulative, selfish, inconsiderate, interfering, domineering, overbearing, meddling, conniving, undermining, and pathologically obsessive mother-in-law. It hits home for me viscerally, because l survived it, although my marriage unfortunately didn't.
I just dont understand this that in the whole movie it was never specified that its just a fictional novel and not actually happened with Jaje Gyllenhaal. The whole movie i misunderstood that it really happened to him which impacted me more heavily
Kichijiro redeems himself in the end by taking the blame for the religious artifact, which I think would have been worth mentioning. Even in the worst of us, there can still be redemption.
Edward owes Susan his success as without her treating him the way she did regarding the abortion etc. he would have had no successful book to write. Susan is not the villain in spite of the abortion.
I feel like it not only was an exploration of a girl’s sexuality but how is easily exploited. Teenagers are gonna do stuff but adults should leave them be… it was uncomfortable to watch and I think that’s the point.
They didn't coin the term Seriel Killer. The German Police Director Ernst Gennat did this. Serial Killer is just the English translation of the German "Serienmörder" Gennat died in 1939 and he worked among others on the Peter Kürten - The Vampire of Düsseldorf case.
I miss Delirious? Musicians, dedicated to their craft with beautiful lyrics, melodies and tones. Passionate and intimate topics without falling into the trap of repeating a 4 chords progression. We should get back to that.
If you are like me who got weirded out by John making a baby with Jane, then I think I have a theory. I think the writer wanted to ensure that the baby Jane is exactly the same person as Jane herself. There is no better to way to ensure that other than having Jane get conceived by Jane. So he introduced the plot point that John (Jane from future) conceived Jane (from the past). This is a total mindfuck.
Basically, this is the only way Robertson can ensure that the same Jane is born. Why does he want that you say? Simple. The time machine would not have been invented if not for the Fizzle bomber doing the 1981 blast. But he gets killed in 1975 (climax scene). So how else do you make him exist other than keeping the loop going. So he wants the baby jane to be planted before the fizzle bomber gets killed and only then does get decommissioned 🤯. How can someone conceive something like this? Woah
clearly a case of people taking a symbolic truth of a movie as a literal truth of the plot. yes, she was "symbolically" behind everything' in that two high school boys had a crush her and so her actions 'caused' what happened. but of course the point is not about her literally bringing them about and the film is obviously an exaggerated depiction of adolescence
the sad irony is that it's gotten worse over the last 7 years with more families forced to live in squalor at these run down motels as fewer and fewer good housing options are available at higher and higher cost with meager wages less able to cover living expenses. Rent has gone up over 50% since 2017 in the Orlando area and these families are struggling even more than ever.
Many churches do it yes, but those are not true Christian churches. Those are helmed by evil. I don't even go to Church, I am a Christian, I watch Horror Movies, I am Bi, I have fun, etc. I don't judge people, etc. Jesus has nothing to do with Human Relgions.
