Are you a millennial looking to figure her life out? Same here!
While I'm at it, I thought I would share my experiences with other young women so they can learn from my mistakes.
I focus on everything from beauty and fashion to giving out tips for creating new lifestyles and setting up routines.
It took me a while to wake up and figure out that I don't want to live life spending 5 days of the week stuck in traffic helping someone else gain profits while my mental health deteriorates.
I'm still working on making sure that one day (and I hope soon) I will be financially free. During this time, I want to focus on other women who have felt the same way. Like they weren't enough or thought that this is all there is to life.
Join me in figuring out how to slow down, take control and get out of this rat race of a life that feels like we are in.
70k from school is wild i understand I went to a fast track school that lets you graduate early than a normal hygiene school. The problem is they charge a egregious amount of money some people payed over 80k just to attend this hygiene program. I use to be a dental assistant but before I went to hygiene school I saved up a lot of money before I went I only owed the school 20k. I owe Dave Ramsey a lot me and my wife used his program followed it exactly how it is written it worked. Now as a hygienist all my money I make is going into stocks and savings. Im saving to purchase apartments. I understand what your going through but push through don’t give up I know it’s challenging wanting to buy things ( ps5)😂 once you at the finish line you’ll be able to buy a ps5 for each room like I did. As a hygienist I get to choose where I work if I don’t like the place I simply just leave see I’m Not in debt so I get to make the terms I love being debt free 🆓
I'm happy you posted again :) normally I don't really watch videos I only listen so I don't judge camera quality :) and I don't think you have bad camera quality btw
You are a beautiful person inside and out! Very inspirational . I'm 51 and just realized I'm ADHD. I'm not sure how to get help since I'm not working and my husband don't really seems to care or understand how I feel.
awe thank you! I'm sorry you're going through a tough time :( I hope things get better but remember it never too late to change your life. Just one step at a time!
Great video! I appreciate the thorough review. I’m getting the same loupes, 4.0 ergo in slate grey eclipse frames. I also had q optics for my first loupes, in 3.0 eclipse frames. I’ve had a great experience with them. I chose the eclipse frames over the classic because I need that side vision for perio charting, and I was afraid the classic frames would obstruct my view.
I'm sad about my eclipse frames. They are just so hard to clean since I have my prescription lens in them. It's hard to take apart. I broke my light trying to get them off so I could clean the lens. :(
im also a recent grad but have been working for a bit now on a permanent part time office. i tempted last week (2nd temp experience) and they kinda threw me in their office with a module i have to read on how to use their software. it was so hard to get help because everybody's busy and the people I happen to ask are also temp and steri so they didn't know how to help me either. I was 20 min behind when I sat my first patient and it got worse from there. Their software was so confusing, I couldn't find any of their stuff and polisher was not working. in addition to that, their xray sensor decided to have a bad day that day so I couldnt get it to work! I had 1 patient he was so mad that he cancelled his appt with me because he got tired of waiting. the office manager came to my room and told me she had to cancel my next shift w/ them because I was very slow. I felt sooooo bad and incompetent that every time I remember what happened, it gives me so much anxiety. my mind was sooo all over the place that I don't even know if my notes were even accurate or if I miss any important information. Im afraid one day they will call me and ask about what I did to my patients that day. it was a horrible experience
I'm so happy for your success and discipline 👏💕🎉.. your an inspiration to me. I'm 5/6 months away from paying off my car & being completely debt free praise God 💪
Hey Dajana! I know this video was posted a little bit ago by I highly recommend Millionaires Mission by Brian Preston. It’s a really great guide on how to optimize your finances :)
Don’t know what area you’re in but most cities have Buy Nothing Facebook groups, I’ve used them to offload things as I’ve accumulated them and they’re super active. The whole point is to source things for free and many people post ‘in search of’. I hope you give this a try, I can’t recommend it enough!
I blow my budget when everything is digital. It's just numbers and I had to go back to a modified version of cash envelopes. I also budget $$ every week for spending. On anything I want, no tracking, no annotations, no guilt. Because that stupid $24 flower pot will bring joy to my space and if I'm going to skip buying a book I want something in return. I really tried having all my money in the bank but I crashed so hard (bought a crafting machine) and I can't have that happen throughout the year. So while I have goals, I don't save towards all of them at once. I do like the debt snowball but "urgency" is the determining factor not interest rate. Once a goal is met I put the money in the bank and start on the next one. Saving $30 a pop for 10 different goals was not making me feel better. I'd saved so much money but only a couple get the fully funded checkmark? No thank you. Glad it works for other people but it felt like a race i wasn't ever going to win.
That’s how I feel too with all these little categories I’m trying to save up for. I don’t think it’s working well for me at the moment. So I’ll try and change things around. YNAB is the only thing that’s worked for me. It’d be cheaper if I could do the envelope system but I lose things alllll the time haha
Omg, I love you and I’ve been binge watching your videos!! I start my prereqs this august for Dental Hygiene school! I’m so nervous and so excited this is something that I really want to do and to complete! I relate to you in so many ways, I.e feeling like a child at 28 and impostor syndrome 😭😭 lol so thank you for your videos!
I love this video format! Feels like a FaceTime with a friend! It sounds like you are pretty hard on yourself maybe some self love exercises might be helpful? Also try bulk bind for small amounts of pantry items! It’s usually cheaper and you can get a small amount of things no problem! I would love to know more about how you talk to you phone company for a lower payment too!
When I read your comment about buying bulk bins my brain almost exploded! Like duuuhhhhh that should've been the most obvious answer to my problem hahaha As for talking to phone companies I literally just say something like hey any discounts? Any cheaper plans? I've been with you guys for x amount of years? I used to work at a call centre for a phone company and honestly if they were nice to me I always gave them the best plan I could find lol Even when it got me in trouble.
It totally feels you’re overthinking stuff unfortunately. Every time you manage a milestone (like moving out), your brain focuses on sthg. minor (like a coffee table) and it’s just too much. I think you’re destroying your own happiness bit by bit that way. I imagine you have that little pit in your stomach all the time - at least I have often. And often it’s just my brain making stuff up and seeing things from the wrong angle. Again, I believe you’re doing just fine. For buying and wanting things - Rome wasn’t built in a day. If you look at older peoples‘ homes - they collected things they need in a long period of time - when they had the money for it. Homes of everyday people don’t look like catalogues either - and that’s cool too. Who cares if I or you store our cables in a shoe box or if we use an Amazon box as a table for a little bit 😅. I wish you can be proud of your achievements more and don’t measure your successes by the size of your coffee table or if you’ve got newer running shoes. And from my experience - one month ahead will not make you chill out. You’ll just increase your target to three months - and be just as stressed. Sending you lolololove 🫡 🫸🏼🫷🏼🤳🏽
YNAB seems great when you actually have a little money to play with, I had a trial years ago but I'm gonna def sign back up for a paid account once I graduate cause I'm sure it'll be easy for those big dental hygiene checks to slip through my fingers....
Broke my ankles and wrist rushing to click play on your vid. LOL I'm JK. Loved the update! Your place is coming together so nicely! It's really inspiring how financially responsible you are and have everything neat and orderly. I totally get the grocery prices... that are killing me! Doing a great job girly, keep it up! Can't wait for the next vid! :)
I have to say your audio is great. I watch others who film on cameras and their audio is awful. They sound tinny or like really far away even tho they’re close to the camera. I think you sometimes need a mic. So that’s an added cost possibly.
Yay! So happy to see you again! Great video! I’ve been working on my 6 and 12 month plan too recently. I loved your money preparedness plan to have a month in advanced. I was working on something similar. I have a great plan. I’m still working on my self discipline. I think after I started as a hygienist the money made me burn thru it bc I felt wealthy 😅 now I am focusing on making it the start of my wealth by directing my dollas better lol. You look beautiful as well ❤
Hey I did the exact same thing haha when I started making money I was feeling like finally I can buy what I want! But reeled it back in. I still go through waves like that. I’m in a wave right now lol buying furniture and stuff. A lot of the times I want to just say eff it and blow my money on random crap but thankfully, so far have managed to stop myself 😂
I’m currently 21 and working in all male dominated field BUT I’m tried and I actually feel out of PLACE now 😭 some jobs are just meant to be FOR males only.. anyWAYS I’m looking to do something different in the workplace and I’m thinking of doing this 😅
