Thank you for this! One question: The new Google Ads update is requesting to “Connect to a Data Source” when creating a CRM conversion. What do we do in this step?
I believe you select the last option to skip that part or you select the last one that says do not connect and it should bypass it. Let me know what it says.
Excellent video. You hit the nail on the head with the exact issues I've been having. I always had to use the snippet in each page, but the mistake I made is that I also had it in the script manager. Thanks!!
Hi. when i receive a phone call lead from landing page how to add them as opportunity in pipeline? Should the client after getting the call, will they manually add the contact details into pipeline ir how to do it?
Hi there, I recommend watching our video on Pipelines here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GxU_BMbBxjo.html That video will show you how to add leads, whether phone call or forms to the pipeline. Then, the client would have to give click on the opportunity in the pipeline and add notes, move them in the pipeline, add $, etc.
Because Google will change your bid strategy automatically and pause & unpause keywords for no reason. It's killed certain campaigns for our client sin the past so we don't bother having them on.
Had the same issue come up. I typically use GTM and set it up there. Do you recommend steering away from GTM? Also, what about setting up a form submission and sending it in GHL's automation like in your Chat Widget Video?
Hi Ty, for form submissions, we now use the native form notification emails since it includes all the form fields automatically rather than building custom email templates. In the form builder, at the top left, there should be a notification bell where you can choose where to send emails. Hope this helps! Also, we don't use GTM at all but we do know other agencies who do. Just seems to complicated! Maybe one day.
Could you use GHL and unbounce together? For example, use the cheap unbounce plan and use 1 root domain then use sub domains for client landing pages. basically using GHL like callrail and a CRM. Not a fan of GHL landing page builder but I like everything else GHL offers.
Good question! This idea sounds like it could work, but it also sounds like a lot of extra steps and less financially scalable in the long-run if you're trying to get lots of clients.
I've gotten 120 link clicks in the last 10 days on Facebook ads with an instant form for my kitchen and bathroom company client, spent $80 and haven't gotten a single lead. Why do you think that is? And what should I do? Should I change the creative, copy, targeting? I mean, not even a single form submission... I am going insane.
@@Leadgenpreneur My offer is $1000 off. Other companies offer a free quote, money off, percentage off, etc. My instant form just takes their phone number, full name, email and Zip code, nothing else.
My offer is $1,000 off. Other companies offer money off, percentage off, a free quote, etc. My form only takes their full name, phone number, email and Zip code.
Hmm, what are you targeting in terms of audiences? Are you targeting a broad audience and how big is your target location? Also, is your $1000 offer lower than your competitors?
Hi Jeff & Robin, we use a number pool because we can track more possible phone calls if multiple people were on the same landing page at any given time. Its not 100% necessary and you can use a singular number but we've always used dynamic tracking numbers for client landing pages & websites.
4:01 so you're saying i connect the gmail account of my MCC as the primary gmail integration on their account and then I put the client's gmail as secondary?
Hi Jeff, yes exactly. We always connect our MCC email first and then choose our clients' GAds account from the 2nd dropdown. I hope this answers your question.
I created the action and followed the steps as mentioned in the video, it has been 24 hours and one call did come through. However, the status of conversion action in the Google ads dashboard still says inactive, it is not tracking conversions from the workflow. Any solution for this?
The same thing is happening to me. I talked with an SEO guy about it and he sid the way I have it setup doesn't allow for GHL to send the glid back to google ads to tell them it was a conversion. So I have to figure out how to do that.
Hey there, I would double check the conversion action settings in Google Ads. Is it a primary action? If not, that could be a reason. Also, I would check the execution logs for the automation in GHL. Does the "Add to Google Adwords" step "succeed" in the execution logs? If not, something may be up with the integration. I would also check to see if the numbers on your landing page are swapping. If this continues, let me know and we can hop on a call to figure this out for you!
Can you get the chat widget to pass facebook attribution data back through the conversion api? I have it set up but it skips due to no attribution data even though it actually has all the data. (I have the conversion api set up correctly as it is working for regular forms, but not the chat widget). thanks!
Should you import call logs from Call rail if you want to migrate it to GoHigh Level Then I’ll add the phone number that is being used in call rail to GHL?
We use Zapier if a client has Callrail. We then import those calls as opportunities. We may make a video on this as some of our clients use different services like WPForms or Elementor forms or Callrail, etc.
This video was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for making this, it solved my exact issue. I have one question though. With the way this is set up, how does the system know whether or not the conversion came from Google Ads specifically, or just from organic traffic, or SEO, etc? Is Google smart enough to know that that specific conversion came from the Google Ad when you sent it to them? Hope this question makes sense. I'm asking this because I want to be sure that I'm not adding conversion data to a google ads campaign that didn't come from Google Ads specifically.
Hey Jacob, I sent you an email regarding your question also if you want to continue the conversation there. I believe you asked it on the chat widget too so. But here's the answer (without attachments: Every click from Google ads gets assigned a Google Click ID (GCLID) which is a parameter passed in the URL with ad clicks and ONLY ad clicks. For example, when you submitted your chat widget on our website, it didn't come from Google Ads so there was no GCLID. Therefore, it would NOT trigger the Google Ads automation path. Your form submission, in GHL, says it was from RU-vid & therefore, it would go to the respective path in the automation (the 3rd path - Organic). This would be the case for any other source that didn't come from a Google Ad click. However, with this other form submission from our client, it has much more information. That form was from Google Ads. All of our clients have the Tracking Template applied to their Google Ads account so this information is pulled through GHL. Remember though, we use "GoogleAds" instead of "adwords" for the UTM_source portion in the tracking template as described in our RU-vid video. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks Christian
Hi there, no it does not. Our community is only available with our Local Google Ads Mastery course. Our GHL bonuses may change soon, however, currently it comes included with Paid Ads System Setup Course for GHL. If you have any other questions, let me know.
Yup! In GHL, you go to Reporting > Phone call reporting > listen to calls, see where they came from, etc. The only "con" is not being able to hear recording in an email like you can with Callrail. Other than that, GHL is cheaper and better for agencies by a mile.
Hi John, Re your Google course, I have not started a Google ads agency yet. Will I learn how to get clients in your Google ads course? I'm also planning to serve catering businesses. Do you have experience in this niche or is it included in your list of niches to avoid? Thank you,
Hi Dom, we don't teach you how to get clients, although, we may in the future. We show you how to run Google Ads for clients effectively in our course. As far as catering goes, it could work assuming the Call to action is to Call or submit a quote form. However, we don't have experience in this industry and we don't cover it in the course. I assume most catering companies do some sort of checkout experience (ecommerce) and we don't teach that as of now. I hope this helps.
Guys, FYI, tried to message you in your website but it said "Your submission failed because of a server error". Looking at your Google ads course. Will this work for catering businesses or businesses in the hospitality & events in general? i.e. catering, venues, planners, mobile bar, DJs. florists etc? Also is this a good niche to serve as a Google ads agency? Thank you.
Sorry about that Dom. We recently switched the forms on our website to GHL forms because we weren't getting the emails. To answer your question, we haven't had a catering client yet. It could work if the client knows that you're generating leads and not customers. For example, the landing page would be forms and phone calls only. Technically, you could do e-commerce but we haven't done that before and it would be way more complicated. Our course doesn't teach Google Ads for e-commerce "type" clients, however, the other niches can work for "request a quote" style landing pages. For example, DJs, Mobile Bars, etc can work for sure. Facebook ads would work well too (our course for Facebook Ads is coming out in Q2.). Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help.
I'm getting an unverified phone number error when I set up the click-to-call extension number inside Google ads. I purchased the phone number from ghl. Do we need to add click to call extension number also inside of the page?. And if we do that number pool and click to call number will be mixed. do you know how to solve this issue?
@@Leadgenpreneur thanks! I have your template, so do you basically put CTC number as your customer phone number when you are filling the custom variables?
Will you be dropping a facebook ads course or adding onto your current ones? I'd like a course to go over how they work synergistically or how to make them work effectively from an operations standpoint
Sir can you share the go high level link which i can use for my clients that has workflow for phone call tracking as well as email sms automation for contact form submitted. Kindly provide sir. I want to build outbyhe campaigns😅
This pricing information isn’t accurate. The products are also not equal- CallRail has an entire analytics suite to help marketers optimize. GHL should really stop deceiving their customers into thinking they’re getting the same value/products . Very disappointing.
I've been highly recommended to NOT setup these "accidental click prevention" pop-ups in landing pages as they RUIN Quality-score when running Google Ads… Thoughts?
the good people at GHL has made a beast of a platform for agencies. I just hope that they improve their website development tool, that'll be awesome to see. I wanna see THE BEST WEBSITE BUILDER, in the market, inside GHL haha
Great tutorial, quick and to the point - Quick question though - what if you ALSO want to track how many appointment's get booked? I.e. You have a "Calendar" on your "Thank you page", and you want to track how many submissions, in addition to booked appointments? I'm currently just tracking this through GHL, but wondering it there is a better way via Google. Thank you!
Hey Aaron, sorry for the late reply. We haven't done it before but I believe you would need a separate thank you page & a new conversion action. Once they schedule, they get taken to that specific thank you page and then a new & separate event snippet would fire (ex: Scheduled Appointment).
Hi Scott. I hear you. GHL on its own is more expensive, but it comes with so many more features, which is why we believe its worth it. Plus, overtime, the more clients you have, CR will be get more expensive faster than GHL. Let us know if you ever switch. Would love to hear your thoughts!
@@Leadgenpreneur I can appreciate that. I already have a CRM I like. For low cost phone, I chose Twilio, and hired someone on Upwork to set up the voice mail and texting. Phone and text is less than $10/month per number. I know GHL has a Twilio component (or at least, they used to), so like you say, it depends on your needs.
Sorry for the late reply. Depends where you're coming from. If you have complex website built with Elementor, it'll be a pain. We still use Wordpress & Elementor for client websites & just integrate them with GHL via Zapier & or GHL itself.
You helped me a lot! thank you so much! Im just missing the step on how to configure the number pool on my landing page call buttons. I made that landing page with GHL. I would really appreciate it, thanks again!

Yo guys, you never care about your customer services. Ive bought your course and i emailed you about troubleshooting, but no one has replied. Its been more than a week! Please do your customer support better ! This is just a feedback.
Hey Brock, Christian here. We use the manual method because it's never failed us before and works for any landing page software. It's basically more universal. You can definitely use the workflow builder to do the same thing, we just rather rely on the code that Google gives us than an import, plus it's faster to report in the GAds dashboard. Hope that helps!
