Good question - sorry it wasn't clear! This is game 2 in a best of 3 series. Animorph won the first game. The cast for game 3 will be out next week. Next week's winner is the champion of the tournament 👍
It's a great RTS. Can only recommend to try it! But If you played other RTS before, you probably need some time to adapt to the unique control system, as you can't select single units as you probably know from other RTS games.
SPOILER BELOW! Such a great game. Im really sad we didn't get to see it all the way through. That said, i know who i would bet on as the final winner. Aka's proxy was as good as dead. Animorph had cut off big chunks of Aka's gas. Animorph could slowly rebuild the eco, while containing Aka in both south and middle. Then he just needed to shut down Aka's northern shipyard. With southern navy control, Animorph could also take the south east island, just below Aka. Here Aka only had a few troops stationed. Aka would probably kick off Animorph from his island in the center, but MAYBE Animorph would be able to hold the chokes with entrenchments. I see this as a 65-70% win chance for Animorph. That said, the game went back and forth throughout. I constantly switched opinion on who was in front. So anything could happen, specially when it's against Aka, cause if anybody could pull it off it would be him. That said, i would have put my money on Animorph. Also, my cursor works just fine in replays, so no. Thats not a new "feature" xD
For anyone interested, this was the 1st game of our bo5 match. As always, a good cast of this Akamisc vs Ak..., no wait Animorph vs Ani..., oh right Akamisc vs Animorph game 😄
Thanks for a good cast as always! A small correction: Tea lost first two games, but nullified them with his two lives. That’s how a BO1 can actually become a BO5 if both players spend two lives :-)
Nickname's Commando drops kinda remind me of Maru's Medivac play. He doesn't always get damage with the first, second, or even third drop, but he tends to keep trying them in different locations and usually finds good success eventually. Audio levels seem good. I usually have to crank my system value up, but I didn't even think about volume until you mentioned it.
Good question! Cylindrical maps are on the official roadmap (link below), but I have no idea when it would be implemented. I didn't realize that Archer was in the tournament and I've already said that he wasn't in my first cast TT. Great work as always, Soda! I think I said this on another video, but your videos always seem to be really quiet for me.
As usual, micro hell against nickname's hasted comms & destroyers, which I must say was not optimally handled on both sides (probably due to our rustiness). Nevertheless, should probably a good example for setting expectations for the complexity of some of the matches for the upcoming tourney. And lastly, obviously a good cast :)
17:30 Um actually, once the refinery is destroyed, you would here a beep beep (even if you are not low on energy) just because your capacity was reduced =) great cast!
