Idk if this applies to the clones but. The sakura d5 was 260mm wheelbase length and made me go crazy thinking i messed bodies. But if you flip the rear lower control forward. It brings it to 256mm which is regular for drift cars. Helps fitment better! I noticed your rear wheels see pushed back far.
This lot has renewed my interest in drift cars... Over the last few days I have been looking at a bunch of info and videos, considering Reve-D and MST, but for now I'm leaning towards the Yokomo RD2.0 and this AE for my son and I to build drift cars this winter. I'm curious as I have not seen much showing the body mount options for these kits, do they come with a variety of body mounts and is there an option for mounts off the tower vs the front bumper? Not sure if we should get 2 identical cars or this and the Yokomo to compare the 2. Look forward to some more DC10 videos...
Same. Mine was all black. Replaced most all the plastics with Real 3Racing 5RR Parts. Still need to do something better with the steering. its ok but could be better. I didn't skimp on electronics though so they'd go into something different if it was a wash.
Man i am so bummed about warehouse drift out here in east county. You know what they say, "if its too good to be true..." 😔 I gotta finish my rig and head up to ninja exchange!
I actually had a hobbywing xe10 stock spec and was trying to upgrade to the reedy 510r witch is an awesome esc if you can find a working one. unfortunately this one was dead. so I dropped the dime on the xd10 for it
Dude I forgot to comment, I was THERE that day! Pretty sure I saw you driving. Didn't know it was you or I would have said what up! It was my first trip to ninja exchange (mind blowing) and didn't know this was there. I'm working on a new rig and hope to have it ready next time I head up there!
@@MyRClive havent had time to try it yet. And not only that, but my daughter felt so bad about the grandkids ruining it that she has bought me a huge one for my birthday ( which I haven't had time to use yet either🙂).
I didn't get a chance to run it on that esc. and my maclan failed after the first test run. But I did hear that they had a bad run and had to recall some or somthing like that..
How much wider is this in the back end? I’d like to put this body on my regular street stock bandit but don’t know if it would be too wide because I’m not running drag tires
