so we're back at the 1996 Nova Ralli for the finnish stuff then in part 2 we're on to the 1996 Katepal Ralli which also forms the backbone for the finnish stuff in episode 4.. This episode was one of the more quiet ones in terms of action... But still very watchable
Firstly.. that red Land Rover driver did that on purpose.. Secondly.. shouldn’t there be commentary in this programme?? Thirdly.. Nova Ralli 1996 LOL 😂
Yes there should be commentary, but all of the shows came on 2 tapes, one with this audio and one with Voiceover (supplied to the TV that way so they could sell it to non English markets for them to voice in their languages) we were missing the voiceover tape for this episode 😂
@@SpecialStageah that does make sense.. but.. weirdly there was also some music missing too.. like in the top 10 for example.. it was an interesting experience watching this episode lol.. season 2 was a bit of a hit and miss series though so mixing it up a bit is always good lol
I wondered how long it would be before I put in an appearance. 🤣 I'm in the navigators seat of #46, the green Mk2 Escort @5:49. This was the Neil Howard Memorial Stages at Park Hall in 1996 I don't think the temperature got above freezing all day.
So for season 2 we've moved on to crash master volume 15 for the scandanavian sections which this season are from what i can recall all from finland... The first section is a bit of a mish mash of rallies but the second section is from the 1996 Laihia Ralli (same national championship as the bridge sequence from season 1 hance the Brisk stickers on the windscreen and the nokia sponsorship above the numbers (this being a round of the F-Cup)
Ah the famous “bridge sequence” which as someone pointed out was on the rally havoc dvd. Also on crash master 14 from GTV Finland. The rally it’s from is the 1996 Metrama Ralli (I THINK it was a round of the F-Cup series a championship that prohibits the use of 4 wheel drive cars hence all the old escorts making up the front runners.. my guess is the big crashes with the back runners are from the championships B-Juniors class. A class for drivers who haven’t yet done a full season of competition.. ok I’ve gone proper full nerd now lol)
So about half of the Finnish section was actually Sweden. But some of the Finnish section in part one actually featured some action from the 1000 lakes rally would you believe
Great afternoon here at the event. Fantastic stages, fantastic location and weather. Long may the rally continue and push back against those who would wish to deny petrol headed motorsport fans their passion. Well done organisers and all of those involved for their hard work with successfully pulling this off - the large crowds were certainly kept entertained and I was appreciative of the good natured marshals and their minimal officialdom.... (refreshing)
Amazing that such stuff aired. Half of it is nicked from the Crash Kings Rallying VHS Series, Havoc Series, and the rest of it compiled from the few amateur cameramen across britain. In fact there are several clips that re-appear in multiple episodes in the same series!🤣Not suprising bits are missing due to copyright!
Actually all of the footage was sent in to the show and paid for in exactly the same was as You've been framed worked, all of the footage was credited and used with full permission. Copyright issues now come from expired use of some music from the time as it was originally cleared for air on Men & Motors TV
Yes, series 2 was made up of 8 episodes, we have started to upload those now so you will see those soon, and then we will move on to series 3, again there were 8 episodes in that although sadly we seem to be missing episode 7, we have the others though
