Role models have always been important to me. Seeing black people, and especially black women, thriving both in my life and on the screen grew my confidence, shaped my beliefs, and expanded my aspirations. So this channel is a place for me to do my part to shine a light on the faces and raise the voices of the incredibly inspiring black people all around me. All this done in the hope that those who walk behind me ready and eager to embrace a fuller perception of what blackness is may have plenty of people to look up to. Ultimately, it's my channel so my life and interests will be particularly highlighted (art, makeup, Harvard, discussions about a variety of issues, etc.) but the more faces, ideas, success stories and learning moments shown the merrier.

Yeah you don’t need as good test scores to get into harvard if your black. They will actually allow dumber students to get in because they are black. I guess nobody wants to talk about black privilege, as prestigious groups are using them prove they are “diverse”.
hi joshua! i graduated valedictorian of my highschool. got a 1580/1600 on the sat and a 34/36 on the act, both without much prep. broke multiple school athletic records. excelled in spanish and french, winning a competition that sent me to france for free my first year as a french student. was an award winning painter my first year ever touching paint in the 10th grade. and have a 144 IQ. these accolades don’t mean much to me as i think the substance of my character is far more beautiful. but just thought i’d respond to this “dumb” comment you’ve made. the black harvard student population is brilliant. i encourage you to get into harvard and see for yourself🤎
@@livelumani107 yeah I mean everyone else at upper universities have similar scores and experiences as you. there are top students at every school and if you combine all of them its a lot. I don't think your acknowledging the privilege you have because it is partly due to your work but a big part of your acceptance was the black box your checked and your skin is the "cool" novelty that elite society is pushing.
hi joshua! if your point will continue to change & evolve in order to discredit black and brown students and their own hard work then this conversation isn’t really worth my time. you said black students have privilege because they’re dumber than other non black students allowed into top universities. as someone who’s actually a student at said top university: i can tell you that is not true. i wonder why you aren’t calling harvard’s predominately white legacy students “dumber.” whose admissions are made far more likely due to having parents or family members previously attend harvard. something tells me you don’t care much about what’s fair and are simply disturbed that non black mediocrity is no longer prioritized above black brilliance. feel free to keep talking in my comments if you like as i’m grateful that the engagement will likely direct more black and brown kids to my page: encouraging them that despite what people like you are determined to make them believe, they are equally as capable intelligent and beautiful as everyone else. have a blessed day, and thanks again🤎
You Should use a humectant before you put it on. BUT the ink list niacinamide is for people who need oil control. I’d try the ordinary niacinamide if you wanna retain your glow and not reduce oil. Great video!

hi thank u for the advice! i don’t believe that’s correct though. oil seals in the moisture and hydration of the moisturizer. if you put it on first the oil will prevent the moisturizer from absorbing into the skin. thank u for being here though!🤎

hi there! i’m posting an updated routine soon so can subscribe and turn notifications on so u don’t miss it! but in the meantime off the top of my head i like to start with cleanser, then any toners, usually hydrating ones that absorb super fast into the skin, then moisturizer of some kind, then an oil to seal the moisture, then sunscreen on top (which i don’t think i was actively using when i made this video but do now:)) ) i think those are the basics and if anyone’s reading this and would like to clarify i’d love that pls! to summarize: cleanser, toner or acids (like hyaluronic, rosewater, etc.), moisturizer, oil, and sunscreen (of all of these sunscreens the most important if i had to say and then as a black woman i can never skip lotion ever ever ever!😂) hope that helps and thanks for being here 🤎🤎🤎🤎
hi there !! i don’t remember which lash specifically is in this video but i think back then i really liked ardell lashes, i don’t think the brand super matters tho as long as u like the shape - i prefer lashes that flare outwards to accentuate my eye shape. and then for lash glue i’ve been using duo since i started doing makeup, wow about 8 years ago!! i like the one that comes in a green box because it has a brush tip and i can brush the lash glue onto my lash line like an eyeliner very precisely. happy to make a tutorial if helpful🤎 thank u for being here i hope you’ll stay a while and thanks for the question!!🤎🤎🤎🤎
