It is seen as the mark of a great band/musician to go on a run of five albums that are well received by the fans and critics. You can argue that R.E.M. had a TEN album run from Murmur to New Adventures in Hi-Fi where they made albums liked overall by fans and critics. This is no disrespect to the later R.E.M. material, but the last two albums Accelerate and Collapse into Now were a bounce back from albums that definitely seemed less inspired without Bill Berry in the band anymore.
Lou & VU definitely smiling.. I saw Lou early 80s at The Bottom Line on his birthday.. we got there early to line up outside & got great center table with Brian Eno sitting right in front of us.. Lou was magnetic in small venue & a performance I will always cherish
George Harrison's equivalent to John's Imagine. These guys in this video just took it to a level of chills and goose bumps. Jim James and Ben are the 2 best humans to come out of Kentucky.
