This is crazy, just a week ago I was scouring youtube for a proper Corpse Party deep dive. Found not much, somberly accepted that this game prolly got buried in the depths of the internet. And here we are! Thank you man for taking the time and effort to make such a in depth video! Made my day:)
I really like the dimension diagram, I'm sure it helps people new to the series understand the dimensions thing but also... I've played this game full through at least three times and I've *never* noticed the floor colors showing which dimension they are in holy shit how?!
Yeah I wanted to go really in depth so researched a lot of lore about the game ages ago cause I've wanted to make a corpse party video since my first video on this channel when I wasn't regularly making videos XD. Yeah I'm kinda glad it's not just full on slasher but I would have liked someone not from the same school to also survive. Taguchi would have been best
@@CyberLocky Agreed. All of the characters who died with the exception of the first girl, the mentor, and the temporary party member that goes insane weren't developed much at all. The only death that really got anything out of me was the first; the other two were easy to see coming.
@@CyberLocky honestly this is the biggest missed opportunity, even with how the Sachiko EA thing works - imagine someone from another school who doesn't just... Kizami, but instead joins the crew but at the last minute realizes they need one of the crew's paper pieces to survive. The other schools' characters don't have a very big role in BC and I don't remember it being played with in BoS, but I haven't played it in forever. Imagine a world where they actually focused on honing character and story in the original vein instead of... Weird I feel like they did something different, but that must have been a nightmare I had. Surely.

I've never gotten nightmares from watching spooky content before bed..until this video.. popped melatonin and dreamed I was stuck in heavenly host. I was also scared to fall asleep with the lights off. Amazing video 😍
I was never able to play these games back then being a wimp but now hearing the story (and watching the anime) this Halloween I want to take a crack at it and see if I would TRUELY get the true ending but I bet blind I would have gotten the ending where Yuka dies because I would have walked the other way no lie lol

I played this game but without shouting "get away get away get away!!!" or "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" it's impossible to play. Can't remember how many times mum told me to shut up because it's only a game xD
I love how this game tells its own unique story. They could have easily just made a Lego Batman game recreating the 4 movies from the 80s and 90s but they didn't. They took some inspiration from those movies and the animated series, as well as comic lore and created a unique experience that felt like the perfect combination of what makes Batman great. It is easily the best Lego game because of the creativity behind the story, characters, level design and atmosphere.
I hadn't even noticed how long the video was until the Chapter 5 intermission 😭 I was so engrossed in it and it was so entertaining! I definitely got introducted to Corpse Party when I was way too young so this was also a good refresher on the story lol

@CyberLocky overnight stocking lol. We have a resident ghost in the grocery store that pulls out bread too. It's a very simple job. Just frustrating when things come damaged or are moved around when people don't tell us. And my coworkers have anger issues haha

Hey everyone! This video has been a long time in the making, with me experimenting with different styles and figuring out how to handle its mature themes. I’m really happy with how it’s turned out, though I do apologize for mispronouncing Satoshi’s name and any other name mix-ups along the way! Even though I’m focusing more on Immersive Video Essay content these days, Astro Bot is a celebration of one of my favourite game genres 3D Platformers. So while not the norm on the channel, I will still do rankings from time to time if a new game comes out that I think would be good for it. So here’s my story of Batman Knowledge: I play Lego Batman: The Videogame, I like it. I get the sequel, I learn about the justice. I get the third game, I learn about Martian Manhunter, the Lantern Corps, and all that stuff. So basically, Lego Batman 1 got me into Batman.
The only thing I complain for lego Star Wars the skywalker saga is the level challenges but the minikits from 10 to 5 was an amazing change I love it and for the gold bricks from 10 to 6 was an excellent change in my opinion the only thing I would complain is why lego Star Wars the skywalker saga is level challenges everytime I do a level challenges in lego Star Wars the skywalker saga ai was like all I want is the 6 gold bricks and 5 minikits and that’s it perfect 🤩 for a Lego video game Cyberlocky. But 6 gold bricks and 5 minikits what a video game 🎮 change. And lego Star Wars the skywalker saga is an amazing 🥲 video game and welcome 🤗 adapt is 10 to 5 minikits and 10 to 6 gold bricks. Only complain is the level challenges and hub challenges but overall an outstanding lego video game 🎮. Ok, I know that this game is very different than the other Lego games, but we need to accept evolutions, I know it's boring it not having a character customization, but if you see all the good things in this game, you just don't care so much about it This game would be boring if it keeps the same TCS identity because it would be just a reboot, not an original Lego game I enjoyed myself playing this game, it's my 3rd favorite Lego game, and I really want to buy a PS3 to play TCS, I love Lego games, and rejecting one because it's different than the others is just dumbness
For me Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a great game and I’ve had hours of fun with it and it was a great remake/reimagining of the Star Wars. Like with The Complete Saga and other games before The Skywalker Saga I’ve had great fun with every Lego game I’ve played, overall in my opinion Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a great game and one of the best Lego games that I’ve ever played, but each to their own, though I agree Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga has its faults and it isn’t perfect but it’s an enjoyable experience. 👍🏻

1:26:16 Whoever came up with this sequence has done deliriants before. People commonly report seeing spiders/bugs and people that aren't really there. Plus it's typically reported as a dysphoric experience. I'm pretty sure his fear toxin is just scopolamine (the tropane alkaloid in Datura & Brugmansia plants) in a gaseous form. I think Batman was depicted with glowing eyes because dilated pupils wouldn't be noticeable to the player from the camera's distance.
39:50 I've always theorize that his fear toxin was made from something in the nightshade family, possibly datura. Although blue mushrooms do exist, this particular one seems to be made up for the story. It's essentially a blue version of the fly agaric (Super Mario) mushroom, only more bell shaped compared to the usual flat or dome shaped fly agaric. Either way Jonathan Crane definitely fucks around with deliriants.
11:07 He's not nearly as stocky as he was in the 1989 Batman movie or the Harley Quinn animated series. I also would have liked to see him in the fedora, waistcoat, & brown trench coat combo he was depicted with in his bio drawing. I also like seeing him without the trench coat because the leather harness is sexy.
