I used to hate it when anybody did on social media. Why? Over 40's, we're trained to think of someone biding their time for a pension or Coach Trip. I realised I was reinforcing the image by not actually showing what life is really like.
Here’s what’s true: women over 40 - have money-and they spend it. They’re not afraid to try new brands, and when those brands work for them, they stay loyal. Not only that, but they tell their.
Believe it or not, they buy tequila, tampons and tech. They bank, renovate and drive. They need tires and air conditioners and plane tickets[.
After fighting Cancer twice I realised that growing old is actually a privilege. Of course we want to maintain our youth and look and feel good! Welcome to my channel!
Suggestion: turn off the background music. Your sweet voice is so soft that it's difficult to hear your message through the singer's lyrics. Thank you for a great message. Best wishes,
I am so glad this worked for this woman. I don''t think I have the guts for it. I say this because I can barely handle the cold gloves and booties for neurapathy ! I say before deciding on cold capping but the ice gloves and foot covering, wear them for a full hour and see how you feel. If you can handle that, then go for cold capping. I was very uncomfortable w/ just the feet and hands frozen so I KNOW I can't do cold capping. EVERYONE is different ladies so worth a try but please just read up, since it is a bit $$ and if you aren't lucky to have a hospital w/ the machines an you say use like polar caps, it also is a lot of preparation and you will need a helper.
I’m not sure how that one works, but I would have thought it should feel cold. You should definitely mention it to the nurses next time. Hope everything goes well for you x
Thank you very much for all the information your have shared. I've been diagnosed with breast cancer and my treatment starts 10 th of May. I have been told I will loose all my hair and definitely going to opt for cold cap. I've already got myself a wig😅 and luckily got the same style as mine . 🤞Fingers crossed I don't loose my hair as yes that's our identity. 8 rounds of chemo , then surgery will take place . Wish me luck. I'm sure The Lord above has got something better planned for my ahead by giving me cancer . I say bring it on.. I'm here waiting with open arms and can't wait for chemo to start .. Bless you my dear for sharing . All the best
For sure it did... The sides where the cap wasn't sitting properly had hair loss. After treatment ended went for a trim as haor was very. dry.. Now 7 months on hair is more.thicker than before and got chemo curls 😁
@@Asma_1969hello, my friend is deciding to opt for cold capping ( not covered by her insurance). She was told wigs aren’t allowed while using the cold cap. Is that for real.? Can she use cold cap to maintain half her hair and not be bald at home, while wearing a wig other times?
@@Hibzi_unhinged yes wigs won't be allowed . She will be able to keep the hair that she has left . Tbh mine thinned out alot and at the end of the treatment I went short and that way patches were covered. In a few months hair started to grow back thicker . Your friend has to maintain a good healthy diet and get all the required nutrients for cell growth, hair growth , nails , teeth etc.. it's hard but time flies by so quick and trust me she will be fine in no time .. 60 percent is mental.. 20 chemo..20 food .. from my experience.. love n light to your friend 🙏
Was this your hair length after the cold cap? Or was your hair cut short like in the photos shown? Did you also lose your eyebrows? I’m asking because I may be doing treatment soon.
Hi. My hair in the video is the length it was after the cold cap. I never lost my eye brows or lashes. I hope if you do have to have treatment it all goes well for you. Speak to your consultant about the cold cap and give it a go. It’s worth preserving with. Get it as close to your head as you can. You may still lose some and your hair may go dry, so get a good conditioner too. Xx
Thank you so much Tanya for this information. It is very comforting. Also which cold cap system did you use (Penguin, Paxman, etc.)? And did you lose any hair on your temples or hairline? How many rounds of chemo and if you may know the type or dose? Sorry for all the questions, just rather scared by this news.
@@SoniaShredder No problem. I understand how it feels. I’m not sure if the name of the system I used, but it was a cap that was kept in a freezer, then you swap it every 45 mins (ish) to maintain the cold. I didn’t lose any around my temples, but did lose some on the top of my head. You couldn’t tell though. It’s only when it started growing again that it’s shorter than the rest, but you can just have some layers cut in if that happens. I had 6 round of chemo on a 3 week cycle. I know one was doxetaxal as I had to argue for it as it’s strong. I’ll try and find what the other was. I’d had chemo 3 years earlier so I couldn’t have the same ones the second time.
I’m told I’ll need Taxol/Cisplatin every 3 weeks for 3-6 rounds then surgery. Did you have chemo weekly or or every few weeks? How long did you have to do chemo? Do you happen to know the type of chemo?
Such a helpful video. I start tomorrow and I'm finding hair loss the worst. I have very long hair. I've already lost half of it from last chemo. I am going to try cold cap this time
Also, your generation DOES know the music. For example, my parents that are probably your age or older, they know a lot of those songs. It's just that YOU might not know. I only know some of those artists through my parents, because they played the albums when I was a child.
Salt-N-Pepa are definitely not Garage, which is mainly a British genre. The genres of the tour were Garage (such as British act Oxide & Neutrino, a DJ and MC duo), with R&B and Hip Hop from the American acts. I thought Hip Hop was at least an easy genre for people to recognise. I'm surprised people have no idea.
The cancer treatment itself doesn’t but that’s the idea of the hormone therapy after which I’m on now. I have a monthly zoladex injection and take letrazole daily.
I hate to say this but my favourite thing was the cream and beige jumper you tried on the treggings with! The black dress was good too, and the shoes. Hope you are keeping well and safe. Are you having the food packs again? x
Wow, what a great Christmas haul! Love the snowflakes and sparkly balls. I just subscribed, can't wait to see more of your videos. I make DIY videos and I just did a Holiday headdress tutorial to get in the Christmas mood. Let’s support each other ❤️
Hi. You must have been there the year after I left. I worked the bars for ten years. The Bar manager was Frank Deane when I was there. HiFi Dave did the disco, I did it for him on his day off, which I think was either Wednesday or Thursday. I cant remember ever having a house band, only guest acts and in house. I left Coastfields and went to run the Stage sound and lighting at Fantasy Island for a few years (I enjoyed that way more than Coastfields!). The poolside bar has changed a lot since I was there, and it looks like the club house has too.
Hi. Thanks for watching! Frank was still the bar manager when I was there. Fantasy island didn’t open until the year after I think. Lots of great memories x
Awesome video. I enjoy watching your video. Keep going. You can make it. You are the best. I created my own channel Russell Designer to show even more content highlights. Come to check it out and I will always follow you back
Only I'm having same problem at them min, so was going down my list of subscribed channels and noticed yours was that same. I'm still trying to work out the problem 🙈
Haha you two are hilarious! The pumpkin costume, whistling along to the music, and even your accents are wonderful to me (I'm American). I love the leaves and the beautiful autumnal colors you've captured as well! Just subbed! 🍂
Thank you so much! I never feel like I've got an accent, weird isn't it. lol. I love the colours of Autumn. Hope you like my other videos too. Thanks for subbing x
