Westminster Confession of Faith 28:6 The efficacy of baptism is not tied to that moment of time wherein it is administered; yet, notwithstanding, by the right use of this ordinance the grace promised is not only offered, but really exhibited and conferred by the Holy Ghost, to such (whether of age or infants) as that grace belongeth unto, according to the counsel of God's own will, in his appointed time.

In my opinion we have lost an amazing systematic theologian that has passed this month and we need to pick up slack

I am listening to this on Jan 7 2023 after hearing that Pastor Nestingen passed away last weekend on Dec 31 2022. It is quite powerful to hear him speak about death. I am sure the Lord has welcomed him in with open arms.

I was suffering from severe depression during the covid lockdown for many months, but I am grateful to God for finally bringing me through it . I just had to learn to persevere by reading the bible, Luther's prayer book and his sermons daily, which reacquainted me with the word of God and his promises of salvation through his son Jesus Christ. Thankyou to all those who prayed to God for me when I posted my prayer request here 6 months earlier. My circumstances havent changed apart from getting in touch again with an old friend and am still working from home . However I have been brought out of the pit of despair I was in a few months ago by the grace of God. I hope this encourages others who are suffering in the same way x

Hello, please will somebody pray for me because I feel very depressed at the moment because of this covid situation. I've been working from home now for over a year and its making me feel very lonely. I'm also struggling because I don't know any other Christians except my dad.
