I don’t get why you are scared of the Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo. I had a The Jungle Book dvd that had this logo and it doesn’t scared me at all. In fact, the only logo that scared me was the Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix logo. It sounded like a fairy was flying around and then the sudden BOOM. Before the boom, I heard a growl noise or something like that. And the background looked like a whale ate me.
And also one logo that scares me a little bit in actuality is the THX cimarron logo from 1988. It started with an orchestra warming up. Then, the hand of a conductor came out and, when the hand came off, the screen turned into a kind of wormhole with the orchestra playing dramatic music. And finally, the THX logo zooms in your face, then the deep note sounds, and finally, a text says “The audience is listening” with crystals tinkling in the background. Happy Halloween, by the way. 🎃🎃🎃
Wait. Where's OZ Film? It's from 1914, it features Vivian Reed looking around while string music plays, and, if you look closely under her head, she has a black dress on, causing it to seemingly blend in with the background.
I found the Universal Pictures logo you were talking about by looking at the image, except I found a version of it in Open matte. Don't know what Open matte is? Let me explain, using information from Wikipedia. Open matte is a filming technique that involves matting out the top and bottom of the film frame in the movie projector for the widescreen theatrical release and then scanning the film without a matte for a full screen home video release. It is roughly equivalent to an uncropped version of the film.
When I was little, I got a curious George dvd right? I put the dvd in and I was watching the episodes and when the credits ended, the DELXUE DIGITAL came in the room. I was so scared and I ran to find my mom and dad crying because of the logo..But I’m not afraid anymore. It feels I’m watching a zoo edition curious George dvd..DO U EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH THAT FRICKIN LOGO SCARED ME!? That logo scared the litterally CRAP out of me! I’ll never forget it. Like wow….I even get nightmares of it…But also when I hear disneys fast play, I just run off before I even hear it, the only problem that it shines on MY FACE like your going to school😭 Edit:Don’t worry Roxie I’m also scared.
Logos are dumb because they scare me as a child. well I’m already a kid. I be not pizza guy right here even though why hey what does Jell-O what a cello is going on? Why is there a confetti do you know quit?
I get anxiety when I sometimes see warning screens like its really disturbing to see a friendly FBI law message IN TOTAL SILENCE including with the one that’s in a black background with red text that says warning with some white text at the bottom your not the only one Roxy
As someone who watched "Top 10 Scariest Logos", i have a question Will we also see Top 10 Scariest Public İnfo Films you have watched so far until now?
My Top 10 Scariest Logos: 10. BND (1990) 9. MTV Corpses Calzone/Atama ID 8. Zombastic Productions 7. Viacom V of Doom (cliche af I know) 6. a.k.a Cartoon 5. Nickelodeon Box Bumper 4. Nickelodeon Pinchface Bumper 3. Ear Booker Productions *epilepsy warning* 2. Erry Vision Films 1. PS2 Red Screen of Death Error (Yes, this counts as a logo apparently haha)
Aight, we know the drill here, my opinions on the list. I may post my own top 10 in a separate comment 10. I actually saw this one appear in quite a lot of early scary logo compilations in the early 2010s, and although I like the music, I can see why it would unnerve someone as it is a bit tense. Still doesn't bother me though. I thought the yellow background variant with the zoom out had more going for it in scare potential for others and it rarely gets talked about, and it has the same music as this one here too. 9. A bit tense and sudden apecifically with that weird note so I can understand where you're coming from. Doesn't bother me though. 8. Ah yes, the most hated (not feared but HATED) closing logo of all-time, notorious for plastering old logos and as a result being a burden to logo enthusiasts everywhere. I'm not scared of it nor do I hate it, but I can see where you're coming from as it's a bit bombastic with its music. Fun fact: the home video version scared the sh!t outta me as a kid so I kinda know how it feels. 7. Again, doesn't bother me but I can well and truly understand why it would bother someone else. The dark atmosphere, the star just zooming towards you in all directions, the dramatic sounds, it all makes for a logo I can see unsettling someone, especially children. I remember seeing this on early scary logo compilations too. 6. I suppose if you don't like conclusives (which is understandable tbh, that empty feeling after it plays...) this could be slightly unnerving but I'm personally not bothered by this one at all, I think it's a good way to end off a DVD watching session. 5. Ah yes, the infamous Neon Mickey, even I'm slightly unnerved by this one, the big, menacing silhouette of Mickey combine with the dark atmosphere and bombastic music make this one a bit unnerving, I understand completely. 4. I suppose the emptiness could be a factor but aside from that I don't see a problem 3. This logo is a shameless ripoff lmao, talking the shape of the WB or Shaw Brothers shield and stealing music from f&^king STAR WARS... I can see why it would be scary to some though as it just zooms in with dramatic music. However, I don't find it scary at all, just laughably cheesy. 2. The THXphobia is strong with this one, see your previous scary logos video for my opinion. (Long story short, It never bothered me but I can understand why it would scare someone else) also props for mentioning the history behind it and the sheet music, that was what we used to analyse it theoretically on the music course 1. The mere implications of this one make me sh!t myself soooo yeah... This isn't scary to me by itself, but the implications behind it are truly terrifying. Good thing I didn't grow up in the 70s and 80s otherwise I'd probably have died from a panic attack by now. As for the logo itself it has intentionally tense music and animation to catch the attention of the viewer so perhaps it acheived its goal by being #1 here. Either way, not scary by itself, but taken into context it is terrifying. HM1: I've never understood why people say this is scary, I get that it is very fast paced but I don't see how that makes it scary. Each to their own. HM2: This one scared the sh!t out of me as a kid lmao, stopped scaring me when I was 8 though. I find it soothing and friendly nowadays. The music, dark atmosphere and weird ribbon animation creeped me out as a kid though. HM3: Another one that scared me sh!tless as a child, again, stopped when I was 8, but I can most definitely understand someone being scared by it even as an adult. The face and his voice are very strange and uncanny. This logo was responsible for my interest in logos sparking off in the first place when I was 8 as my fear turned to fascination, and then I discovered the wider logo community. And then I discovered as I grew older that it is how most people start out in this community as annoying little sh!ts lmao. At 20 I don't find it scary at all, it just gives me nostalgic feelings despite the logo being ruined all the time by editors and brainrot content farms. Unshown Honourable Mentions: HM4: DTS: I'm going to assume this is the blue one, yea it's pretty tense but I'm not bothered by it HM5: Never bothered me, not much else to say reallt HM6: I always saw this one at the beginning of certain Tweenies tapes as a kid, I wasn't really bithered by it then and still not bothered by it now, in fact, I get really nostalgic when I see it now haha. But I understand the conclusiveness aspect due to it appearing after the credits on a lot of Universal DVDs. HM7: I completely understand this one and feel slightly unnerved by it myself, I mean, a big @ss fist punching the viewer with ear grating music and screeches and a dark atmosphere? That is unsettling. Even as a huge Jackie Chan fan as he owns the company. HM8: I've never been aftaid of this one but I can see why someone would be, the dark atmosphere, trippy visuals, descending moog notes and weird sound throughout the logo contribute to it holding a valid status as a scary logo. It doesn't bother me however. HM9: Never bothered me either Well, that was interesting and fun! I'll post my top 10 in a separate comment
Aight, Ima give my opinions, lists like this always invite interesting discussions 10. I can definitely see why this one would be unsettling, just the way the disc flies out of nowhere and clashes with the mountain could be quite jarring especially for first time viewers, however, its easy enough to get used to, it never really bothered me personally though, not even as a child. 9. Now this I don't understand at all haha, Maybe the ever-so-slight bombasticness of it? It never bothered me so I don't know, but I was scared of the Shadow Projects logo as a child so I can't judge lmao. 8. Same as 9, in fact I have more good memories with this one 7. Okay this one is understandable, even as someone who was never scared of it I can see where someone is coming from when they see it and freak out, especially if you were a kid at the time 6. I was scared of the Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment logo as a child if only for the music, and this one has the pegasus running towards the viewer so I can sorta see why a child would not be confortable with this one 5. Struggling to understand this one, with that being said I never saw it as a kid so I probably won't understand lol 4. Again, I can't understand how this could be scary even to a child. It just seems like your typical Disney logo to me, music and all. But I'm not gonna judge, scariness is extremely subjective and I'm scared of some logos even now 3. Again I don't think I understand this one either, It's a friendly ending to a friendly show 2. Okay, now we're getting into proper scary territory. I was mever bothered by THX oddly enough, but I can certainly see why people would be. WAYYYYY too loud, plus the darkness doesn't help. THXphobia is also a real thing. Fun fact: as a former music student, the THX logo was the first piece of music theory me and my classmates at the time learnt. 1. I can understand why this one would freak someone out, It's very fast paced, loud and bombastic. I think I didn't like it as a kid either haha but it didn't scare me too much HM1: I like this one, I think it's really nice and nostalgic despite me never seeing it as a young kid. Can't understand this one. HM2: No comment because no video lol But yeah, very interesting list and well made :)
I have great memories with Universal as well, surprisingly lol Looking back at Tommy Nelson, I think it was just how absurd it felt, and I could always feel some tension rising in it somehow. But it was mostly the end, with that big synth/string/choir "voooooom" note. It kinda reminds me of things like the THX logo, or the Mac startup sound from the early 2000s, both of which terrified me as a kid bc...loud... Also you learned the THX note i music theory? That's awesome Oh also here's the Glue Works logo. There wasn't any good-enough recordings at the time to put it in the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XFlxRCE9snY.html
@Roxie_ET That's fair enough on Tommy Nelson, I can see where you're coming from in a way now from a child's perspective. As for Glue Works, the logo has a lot going on in it, so there's definitely a little sensory overload for some people there, but overall it's innocent and fun and quote goofy imo. Not scary to me and probably wouldn't have as a child either knowing myself and my weirdly specific fears as a kid.
@@Darksider54189 Agreed on Glue Works. It's overall just a silly lil' logo. It's more about the sudden tension in the music when the logo's done being built.
The funny thing is that the only logo that scared me in this list is the Klasky Csupo logo i remember as a kid i watch the Rugrats movie and at the end this logo came and i ran to my room as fast as i can caz it was that scary like THAT FACE JUMP SCARED ME 😅🥲
Top three of my least favorite logos: 1.Nelvana (I most of the time saw the shortened version and the firework thing in the background was the thing that horrified me) 2. Hanna Barbara (is there any explanation?) 3. Rocket production ( I just don't like the flashing lights)
