Beat this game once about 7ish years ago. Was amazing fun but didn't know if I had the patience to ever do it again. Then I figured out how to use Unity and start modding. Been playing like crazy the past couple weeks. 10/10 Best Elder Scrolls game when you can get it to play like a modern game.
I have scrubbed the internet from Reddit to Google to Nexus to DFUworkshop and I cannot for the life of me figure out how you made a custom destination for your DFU Settings. (seen at 1:10) mine is locked in my appdata folder and it won't let me change it. I hate to bug you about it, but could you point me in the right direction on learning how to change my setting folder directory? I would love for it to be in the same folder as DFU like you did.
No problem man! Not bugging me at all lol So - I am using a "portable" setup of Daggefall Unity. This is a new feature that was released in v1.1 of Daggerfall Unity! So, to make it live in its own, isolated folder, you simply add a .txt file to the same folder as DaggerfallUnity.exe is (the root). Name it "Portable.txt" and your all set. If you want to make it SUPER-portable, like I have done, also include the game files in DaggerfallUnity_Data -> StreamingAssets -> GameFiles so you can pass around your modded setup to friends and stuff, its awesome :D There's better instructions here: github.com/Interkarma/daggerfall-unity/releases <3

I really gotta play this game soon. Morrowind and Skyrim are some of my favorite games of all time and Oblivion's finally starting to grow on me. Will probably need to mod it (a lot) but I'd love to experience more of the series
Modded Daggerfall unity is very fun IMO! I didnt really expect to enjoy the game as much as I have since they released it and Arena for free on steam and I decided to try them both so I could say Ive played every Elder Scrolls game, but Daggerfall is now in my top 3 Elder Scrolls games lol...
Honestly, I recommend playing DFU and the OG. I also recommend playing Arena. Free on Steam. And Steam runs it through DOSBox for you. Which is nice, I hated inputting it all myself.
