Looking at all the Doctor Who locations from 1963 to present! Episode by episode I visit various places and see what has changed since filming and giving you all the info on where to visit!
Just wondering buddy, have you taken a few of the old videos down lately? I went to look for Terror of the Zygons the other day but couldn’t find it ? I’m sure you did it though ? Hope all is good 👍
@@Doctorwholocationsguide ahh silly me , so sorry matey I must’ve got confused, I visited the Zygon location a few years back and it’s not changed much at all . Absolutely adore your channel, I think you do a wonderful job and many thanks for all your time and efforts.
I really wish I had known you guys were doing this. I've been around DW locations too and literally NO ONE else is interested! I remember getting a real kick out of finding the shop window from Spearhead from Space and finding I worked in the road Bessie drives down in the Silurians.
I absolutely love your channel buddy , I can watch and rewatch your videos so many times. I love visiting Who locations but your videos are a different level. So informative, so much enthusiasm and hugely enjoyable. Thanks so much for all your efforts and work
I went on a tour of the former BBC Studios at Alexander Palace many years ago. It was fascinating to see where all those early live TV shows were made all those years ago.
Have you ever noticed at the end of the Android Invasion the invasion is still going ahead, and that our heroes only take out one or two of the green alien guys? The bad guys literally win off screen!
Is the railway tunnel the Master jumps from _completely_ abandoned now? It looks it. I am wondering why the road that passed through it has been discontinued though - roads do exist for a purpose after all! Any idea on this location?
@@davidmullen6011 if I remember rightly it’s all MOD land so maybe they took away access right if it’s not official footpath? Interesting though I’ll have to look on the maps lol
Patrick Troughton said that they had filmed parts of The War Game in trenches and barbed wire that had been left from filming a WW1 movie that had finished Called O what A Lovely War.
I really like the way they used the effects to make the sky look alien and the water pinkish purple, like the light was coming from a sun from another solar system.
Or to avoid parking - catch the 12 or 12A coaster bus that runs hourly between Eastbourne and Brighton - take in the cliffs and the majority of the War Games locations all in one scenic journey.
That's me at 2:34. I come from Bargoed, very close to the village of Deri where they filmed it. My friends went to see the filming in April 1973. Jon Pertwee returned to the location on Friday the 8th of April 1994. It was raining but we still had to wait 90 minutes because Jon was stuck in traffic in Abergavenny, he arrived saying " Lovely welsh weather". BBC Wales was there and that news report appeared on BBC Wales news at 6pm. I was in the pub by that time and they had the news on and I saw it. There was a Dalek treasure hunt there and a Doctor Who scarf competition. I met Jon and we talked about his film career and said he stayed in Bargoed during the filming of " The Green Death".
As a Yank, I have visited the U.K. fourteen times (1984-'2019) I have visited a number of WHO locations, classic and modern,....even in wonderful Wales, and the actual Culloden in Scotland. Also, visit to Vancouver for sites from 1996 😃
@@pianoman8642 every era has its good and bad points.. for my videos, I’m treating it all equal lol 😆 but there are certain Doctors locations im struggling with as a lot of people I know won’t go with me for them lol
@@TheMikester307 the original idea was he was gonna go for a fake wee in the background other side of the pond while I was talking but I thought it might be a bit much lol 😂
Nice places to visit, but I wouldn't want to be exiled there, in the 20th or 21st century, also seeing that The Doc had to do a load of walking and as it turned out, lots of running around as well before he was (forced to) regenerate, you can see why he was so eager to get Bessie
Thanks for making this Time-Flight is 1 of my favourite episodes. I’m going to Heathrow for the 1st time next year & was hoping to stand where the Tardis was but unfortunately a lot has changed for the past 40 years.
