I can related with the healing part of your journey and that slap in the face when you have kids and are like "O shit! Time to get it together to break that cycle." I hope you are so extremely proud that you came out with so much compassion. It is simply amazing how you overcame everything and that your giving back. I have trauma and it is so hard to love yourself and without help almost impossible. I hope to help single moms one day overcome their trauma cause as we all know it starts with the children and moms need so much help. The kids can change the world. I watched the softwhiteunderbelly interview with you and i cried, especially when u talked about people close to you dying and the thoughts connected to that (your father, history, could have beens etc.) want to say thank you for the honesty and i want you to know that it touched my hearth (I'm in Sweden). I have a blue morpho tattoo on my arm w/ a mother aya vine ❤ Here from SWU, 48 yrs old and my childhood CPTSD and Chronic depression and ADD is worse than ever. Its not very often that I hear someone elses story whose trauma started in the womb and then born into chaos and then to have to live through/survive through daily extreme trauma, year after year after year after year. So I very much resonate with you. Besides my 24 yr old son who lives nowhere near me, I dont have any family / built in support system at all and I am BEYONNNND exhausted from continually trying to hold on, especially as my entire system declines. I just want it all to finally be over. You are so very extremely lucky that you had grandparents and other family to love you and to never give up on you. Theres gotta be a comfort in that, I would think. Proud of you man. I wish I could afford trauma therapy because Lord knows I beyond need it. Keep shining that light for others in the dark ❤
