Hello, I have the same problem on m'y VFR 750 carat 1991. I bought a modul CDI frome same year. Does i have just deconnect the old and reconnect the New modul? Or is there programmation to do? Thank's for your help and answer !
Thank you for this vid. I am getting ready to do this and you showed very important things to know. There is another way to get that bearing out. A tool kit called a "blind bearing removal tool". Motion pro sells, I bought it.
This is not professional, safe, or common sense at all. Super sloppy. Be a big boy and work on your little 250 correctly. This is causing binding. Also, like the guy below said, you can't change your geometry like this without making other adjustments to compensate. Think about it.
To make it easier to start after replacing the filter/pump, look for the fuel pressure test port in the front of the engine, under a plastic cover. You can then bleed the air out of the fuel system, making for a much easier start. (You could also prime the engine with a short shot of starting fluid via the air intake.) This will help to save wear and tear on your starter. I hope this is helpful to you.
You guys are in a shop and don’t have the common sense to prime the system via key on/no crank key off…key on/no crank key off repeat X5. And it’ll fire right up.
I followed your same steps and when trying to start the motorcycle it did not start, I checked that pressure came out of the fuel line and it does not come out but if you hear the pump working, I checked everything again and it is well assembled, do you know what it could be?
We just defeated a leaking carb on my cousins 1985 hon trx 350, silt & residue were sticking the float valve open , we cleaned that & it runs fine . The thing sometimes sits unused for a year , & no storage prep done . * prep your machines if they are gonna be stored, time + gasoline are murder on the delicate brass parts of a carb .
