Hey brother. Can you send me a link for your own remix of “Driver New York at Night Drive”? I think I’ve been looking for it for 2 years now lol. I came from VortexStory’s video.
You mean the 2-pac version :') ? That version sadly never really was more than the first 30 seconds. Never made a full song out of it. Was mostly just to poke fun how people usually make these mixes and it turned out better than expected haha. Sorry bud
Problem with MGS1 is that it uses a 16bit hash for its textures and the like. So there is always hash collision which ends up with glitchy textures all over the levels/stages. Hence there's almost no model swap mods out there, and those that do never overcame this problem. Sadly...
@@snoopiiii I don’t mean that, I mean we thought it was impossible before and now it’s not, it’s just polygons, mesh, textures, and animation with bones as a frame. If u could extract the model u could use neosis to view them with their animations.
According to special supervisor Kevin Pike, those are not real manure. They're just pellets of dirt with vermiculite, fuller's earth, and gardening soil added to make it look more like real manure.
It isn't supposed to work on PS3. The mod uses a hook make by Soapy that is PC exclusive, hence the menu is. You could maybe get it to work yourself if you know a little bit of modding and take out the dependencies of the hook (removing the handling modding basically)
@@snoopiiii I appreciate your prompt reply on a really old video of yours. I’m looking into how to do that atm. I had been playing this on PC. It was so fun! Thank you so much, I’ve been wanting to drive the tanks since I was a kid. I wish there was a way you could get in the hind (I’m aware you can’t). I would just do it the same way, but, I’m playing on a Steam Deck now, and the OS doesn’t like .rar :(
Damn. I wish I could play as one soldier only in every mission. Instead I need to manually give certain equipment every time to a soldier of my choice then place the others in a corner while I play alone with 1 soldier.
Maybe I should make a little cheat table/trainer so it disables all the other teammates. Equipment wise it'd still be a challenge tho, without editing the mission.dats that is
@@snoopiiii Thanks for mentioning mission.dats. For now I can only play debug version and get 1 soldier only in "Lights out" mission. But at least it's a start.
@@stormap4071 I have the script system a bit reversed so it shouldn’t be too hard to make. But I have other things on the roadmap first. A hard missions mod and eventually a prison escape (think “the escapists 2”) all in time
Did you edit the textures for the BDU for Snake's model? He looks chunkier, did you do that with the mod or does that just happen when you equip it as Snake?
It uses the plant's BDU which is raiden's model. But it forms around snake's skeleton. So there is some weird mapping going on sadly. This feature also was present in the trial version (earlier MGS2 version) which also just replaced the model but not the skeleton, which sucks. What was cool about that version was that you could change to any model that was loaded!
Imagine all the hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and possibly liquid dish soap it would take to get that smell out of the interior after you pay Mr. Jones to haul the manure away.
I can’t believe Robert Zemeckis made Pinocchio smell horse shit in that garbage remake! I expect better from a high class filmmaker like Robert. (Realizes that Back to the Future had a manure joke) I might be remembering this movie wrong. (Jokes aside, the Pinocchio remake is awful)
@@salgado6730 I can only think of that you might have a different keyboard? The keys you see onscreen need to be pressed. If your keys are different, you still have to type it as is. Like for instance the word infidel needs to be typed out exactly to the keyboard. I N F I D E L. So if there are different keys, replace them
Honestly, you just need to make sure you have patch 2 installed. This might be a bit harder for you and especially for me if your game wasn't bought on Steam. I can't help you with this sorry
@@HydronePixelz But if you have it on steam, you don't need to get the patches manually. Steam keeps its games up to date. Again, if you don't have the steam version; just google the patch, otherwise just install the mod and enable it under options>mods>cheatsmod
They should just do MGS1 but from the ninjas perspective and what he was doing on the island, all his various encounters, and you ultimately get to fight snake, liquid, and REX as a bosses.
I am not entirely sure but if you save the game it might be saved to the profile. So you gotta manually load the profile every boot. Atleast thats what i remember on ps2
If you download my mod (that this video is about) you can enable the developer options by pressing LSHIFT + / To check if you succesfully enabled the developer mode, press X on the keyboard. This should pause the engine. Press it again to unpause it. C is for freecam. However, not to crush your dreams but this game does a lot of zoning / culling. Meaning that if you don't go through the proper culling zones, the areas won't draw. Have fun regardless!
Not sure about the rounds, but the AN94 can be found in any plant stage/level. Just take it and rename it to the ak file. Sadly we can't add guns at this point so we can only model swap m
This is the closest thing I've ever seen to playing MGS1 as Cyborg Ninja. I've been wanting a mod like that for so long. I'd even settle for just being able to play every mission in VR Missions as the Ninja. I realize you've stopped work on this but do you have any idea if something like this exists out there and where it could be found? This video is literally the only thing I've ever seen trying to do this.
I am not sure if something like that exists out there, but I could be wrong. Reason I didn't really pursue this is that it wasn't really worth getting it to work. In the video it might seem cooler than it actually was. What I did was override the hardcoded offsets inside the mgsi.exe to point to other locations of the animations file. The animations are not 1:1 with the VR mode iirc, so it's harder to bind them to the right action. Aside of that, it also is just the fact that most objects in the game that looks like you would be able to jump on simply can't. Imagine lots of the 3d walls in the world to be insanely tall collision. So in the video where the little box thingie is, you can't jump on it let alone stand around looking cool as Gray Fox. What it all comes down to is that the collision data would be to rewritten carefully for each stage to even be able to do these cool things. I hope I have given you a bit more insight into it :)
@@canevas1017 I'm talking about the ARMY in the last three rooms on Tanker Snake normally doesn't have BDU so this is the first time I see this. And I'm asking why the ARMY (not Gurlukovich soldier) look at Snake with "?" but they don't give you a GAME OVER. Actually is funny cuz they are enemies
@@KortexGraphix sorry I thought someone said in the comments that he never reached this part of the game despite the title being called playthrough. I figured you were referring to the gurlukovich soldiers
You need to hold another button. Its called the modifier iirc. Original ps2 version requires you to hold the square button slightly to aim, hardpress to shoot. For PC they hacked it together from the hacked together xbox version.
