The Grey Muzzle Organization is a national nonprofit organization that improves the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, and other nonprofit groups nationwide.
We believe every senior dog deserves to live out his or her golden years, months, weeks or even days in a place of love, security, and peace.
This was a great video, especially for someone that is doing this as a volunteer (and has no idea what they are doing!). I didn't know about it ahead of time and stumbled across someone sharing it another group - can I request the "goodie bag" emailed to registrants?

My younger brother Patrick and I got a black Labrador retriever pitbull mix named Maggie from the Oregon humane society back on June 22nd 2013 she was 9 years old we had her for 5 years until August 20th 2018 when she passed away from cancer she was 14 years old 😢 💔
My dog is high risk. She has a crooked mouth and crowded teeth. Her teeth on one side are beautiful, however the other side is very hard to keep clean and she doesn’t chew much on that side. She now has developed some gum disease on that side. She is 16.
I have a 16 year old with an enlarged heart. She appears healthy but has developed some gum disease on one side of mouth. The vet said she will not make it under anesthesia. She had her teeth cleaned 3 years ago and I almost lost her that time. So what am I supposed to do. Her life span per her breed is 14-16.
My sweet Bailey Jo just crossed the 🌈 bridge. Doggy dementia for several months. Tried absolutely everything. She was 19 lbs of pure joy! Such a difficult decision. I miss her so much😢. Thank you for this wonderful broadcast. She was 12…but ready. Many blessings to you both. jay navarro, Corona,Ca

I appreciate the information you have provided. One of my dogs that passed had laryngeal paralysis. She was diagnosed a month or so before she passed. She had hind end issues since she was 4 and had an FCE. It was hard to know that she may have been getting worse on that score because she already was partially paralyzed. I had NO idea what she was going through. I've since learned more about it. I fear my 11 year old lab mix may have it which caused me to find your video. THANK YOU!
I just subscribed to your newsletter and I am so happy to be able to thank you for all your hard work to help our senior dogs. I have been involved in animal rescue for over 50 years. I have met so many and helped so many over the years, yet I must admit that THOSE THAT TUG AT MY ❤ the most have always been the seniors. From helping humans too ill or those going into assisted living by fostering their beloved pets, then going to funerals with and promising to adopt these senior pets so their humans can pass on with no worries, I can say these have been the most gratifying and proud moments of my life. I have also personally adopted many senior dogs left by their owners at shelters in different states. All were given many more years of wonderful and love filled lives. All of these dogs passed in my arms and not at the shelters. My current beloved is black & white EMMA. She is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Spaniel mix with short Corgi legs, no tail and flop down ears… just adorable💓 She will be 12 in January 2023. Her family left her at a Texas shelter in January. I saw her picture on Facebook and it was love at first sight. She was transported to me by loving transport volunteers and she is the PERFECT little princess with absolutely no issues. I cannot understand how humans ‘dump’ these wonderful senior dogs ??? As I say to eveyone on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages………. SENIORS ARE BEST ❤… FOSTER, RESCUE, ADOPT A SENIOR DOG… you won’t be sorry. And to that I will add… Help a loving human in need who is worried about what will happen to their beloved pet if they must give it up or they have passed. It is such a wonderful thing to do. My new born puppy got bit on the neck by my older dog and started walking in circles tumbling over and just whining all day and night, I’m not sure if it can sleep, it can barely eat and drink. Can anyone help please. It literally can only stop for like a second and just keeps going it does not stop.
I am giving my dog 200mg magnesium citrate (sweetener free) and 75mg of zinc gluconate and 3mmg of organic lion mane mushroom and 4mg of reishi mushroom and 1-2 tsp or moringa powder these work on nerves and also trying acupuncture. Change his diet to some raw and taken him off kibble and give him sweet potatoes, gluten free pasta or peas pasta with meat and extra veg, sardines too. I will get back if this works. Also give old dogs digestive enzymes as they lose digestive enzymes to break down food. My dog had liver issues and yellowish poop too so i give him do g milk thistle powder and i his poos went back to brown after 2 months. I will let you know if this works.
I do TNR trap neuter and release. I had one cat I loved, and she was purposely squashed to death. I screamed so loud I blew my vocals out it took me 4 months to get my voice back. I cry everyday since 2.12.19. Flashbacks,depression, helpless, and say I cant do this anymore my heart is broke.I saved 16 pets, and also I had pets who suffered, from cancer, loss ability in spine no longer able to walk, my cat had to get his eye taken out last week due to a tumor. I have every symptom to compassion fatigue, PTSD, complicated grief disorder. Deeper the love deeper the grief.
my dog had seizures before until i changed his dog food , im serious i use to feed him other dog foods , then i started feeding him blue buffalo and they stopped it could be the same issues i was having so chemicals dog food companies use will cause seizures please tell your owners this thanks
