@@gypmcgyp Hey Thomas, as I'm guessing you're the man behind this documentary, I just wanted to say that you did an excellent job. I'm not sure what the current state of play is but I hope you can get the cinema back operating again. I've visited and it's a fantastic place. Cheers
The projectionists, who we often forget, were the pillars of cinemas. With their know-how, their patience, and their precision at work, we gave a value-added service that the spectators absolutely ignored. It’s rare to come into the screening room, but with this video you made me feel nostalgic moments of cinematographic art. Thank you very much, Sir! I’m subscribing for more videos and see you soon.
Sue Perkins from The great British Bake Off and other crap reality TV shows in her movie debut...Shame they didn't get the knives out when the director called "Cut".
The Motion Picture Sound Sound On Film Should Be On Then Cinemas......Do Not Remove Them For Ever............That Is The Spirit Of Cinema.......The Celluloid Film 16/35/70mm Films
Every time I hear him say"we've all been in a job we've loved and not many people can say that " I 'm proud .....he was very ill at this time but insisted in taking part cos he respected Tom and loved his job(I should know ,believe me)
please look at the old buffalo memorial auditorium sound baffles hanging and please explain what purpose they served?? this has always been a mystery to me
Digital projection has actually made me less and less inclined to go to the cinema for films which weren't shot digitally. I'm willing to pay more for a theater which actually projects 16/35/70mm, it's becoming rarer than hen's teeth these day's, I think that something important has been lost. Hopefully it won't become completely lost, but we'll see. I salute you proper projectionists. Hang on Kodak. Hang on as long as you can, and go down swinging.
+hanshotfirst1138 I know your comment is old but interestingly, Kodak have just started making a new Super 8 camera so I do wonder if film will ever truly go away.
